To Trump, the holiday season means cruelty and intimidation. Along with their cameras, his agents are prowling our streets, ripping folks out of cars and terrorizing our neighbors with assault weapons. Using taxpayer dollars to create dystopian propaganda doesn't make us safer.
It's all chest-thumping and zero answers. If Trump believes these strikes are somehow justifiable, he needs to make his case to Congress and ask for authorization. That's not what's happening.
If they weren't afraid to justify their actions, they'd release the video and make their case to Congress. But they're far too busy chest thumping to care that they're dragging us into another forever war the American people do not want.
They seem to think they can kill whoever they want with no evidence and without Congressional approval. And it's troubling that they're hiding behind classification to specifically avoid accountability and transparency to the American people.
The briefing with Hegseth and Rubio only reaffirmed what we already knew: the Trump Administration is in clear violation of domestic and international law—and our own Constitution.
Heartbroken to see even more senseless violence this weekend—now targeting the Jewish community in Australia on the first night of Hanukkah, with antisemitism on the rise. Antisemitism and hatred must be condemned everywhere. My thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones.
The number of people killed in the Australian beach shooting rises to 16, New South Wales minister says.
It's been 13 years since Sandy Hook. These kids should be in college right now. Instead, families are still mourning—and gun violence is still the #1 killer of kids in America. Our children deserve leaders who do more to protect them.
Photos of the children and educators killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary mass shooting on December 14, 2012.
Another horrific school shooting in America. My heart is with the students, their loved ones and the entire Brown University community. Our kids deserve leaders who will do everything they can to keep them safe from gun violence. Congress must do more.
Thinking of you, your dad and your family, @kim.senate.gov. Alzheimer's touches so many, and we must do more to support our care workforce and families like yours.
A few weeks ago, my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I won’t lie—it's been incredibly challenging for me and my family. Now, I’m embarking on a journey to answer the questions so many of us face when it comes to providing care for our loved ones. I hope you’ll join me.
Our heroes serve with honor and show up every single day to do the mission—despite the risks.   And so we better make damn well sure that the mission is the right one. That it is clear and effective. And that it serves our national security.   Not one man’s political agenda.
BREAKING: Republicans blocked our clean, three-year extension of the ACA tax credits—guaranteeing health insurance premiums skyrocket for millions in the new year. The GOP owns the health care crisis to come.
In the new year, millions will be forced to pay more for health insurance or go without. The highest premium hikes will hit people in red states the hardest. Tomorrow, Republicans will have one last chance to save the ACA tax credits and stop this health care crisis.
Just a day before our Senate hearing, yet another judge is ordering Trump to stop his illegal domestic deployments into our cities. Tomorrow, I look forward to grilling DoD on its justification for this egregious abuse of our heroes. Spoiler: there is none.
A federal judge orders Trump administration to end deployment of California National Guard troops in Los Angeles.
Lies. China bought $1.4 billion in soybeans from Illinois alone last year. This year, due to Trump's policies, the U.S. is projected its lowest soybean exports to China since 2018—when Trump was also President. Don't let Trump gaslight you. He's always been bad for our farmers.
Leavitt: "President Trump convinced President Xi to continue purchasing again American soybeans, which is something China wasn't doing under the last administration because they had no respect for President Biden or the country at the time."
This week, the Senate will vote on Democrats' clean, three-year extension of the ACA tax credits. Republicans have a choice: stop health insurance premiums from skyrocketing or abandon their constituents.
Ensuring our troops have access to IVF is not a poison pill. Shame on Trump for standing by as Speaker Johnson stole IVF coverage away from our servicemembers for the second year in a row. He's no "father of IVF." He's a deadbeat dad who never keeps his promises.

Of course Trump would give the economy an A+ after he rigged it to enrich him, his family and billionaires... But for the rest of America?   Higher utility bills. Higher grocery bills. Historically high mortgage rates. And skyrocketing health insurance bills.
Trump is using your taxpayer dollars to fix a mess he created after his tariffs nearly put so many farmers out of business. And meanwhile, his tariffs are still inflating your grocery bills. The American people deserve better.
Breaking news: President Trump plans to announce a $12 billion relief assistance package for farmers, a key segment of his base, according to a White House official.
