It was great to visit Boulder Crest Foundation in Bluemont to learn how they support and build resilience among veterans, servicemembers, law enforcement, and other first responders. I’m glad I helped secure $1 million in funding to expand their programs to VA law enforcement officers.
Check it out: @vpm.org has a new documentary on the iconic Shenandoah National Park, exploring its geology, wildlife, and history. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to visit the park soon—Virginia is beautiful in the spring.

It’s our duty to support caregivers for people with disabilities—no family should be punished for sharing their home and providing care to vulnerable loved ones. The Trump-Vance Administration should reverse this plan.
Trump promised the war against Iran would be over “very quickly.” It’s clear that wasn’t true, and I have serious questions about the plan going forward. Pete Hegseth’s response? Making up ridiculous new claims on the spot.

Parenthood is a gift. But because of the rising cost of food, housing, and child care, many hardworking young Americans are priced out of building the families they want. I’m doing everything I can to bring costs down and make parenthood affordable.

Is it worth sending our sons and daughters into another war in the Middle East without a plan, without a rationale, without allies, without congressional consultation? The answer is no, and that's why we won’t stop trying to end the President's war with Iran.

First, it was Georgia. Then Arizona. Now, the Trump Administration has demanded that Wayne County, Michigan, turn over all ballots from the 2024 election. These are flashing red warning signs of intent to interfere with the 2026 and 2028 elections. Know your rights.
Virginians know just how much Richmond has to offer—from its scenic trails to a phenomenal food scene, to world-class museums and historic sites, you’ll want to stay longer than 36 hours! Proud to see the city I call home featured.

It's National Fentanyl Awareness Day. I'm working to build on the progress made by my legislation—which is now law—to direct increased federal attention on the fight against fentanyl, especially at a time when the Trump-Vance Administration cuts funding for overdose prevention.
The Trump-Vance Administration refused to have a public hearing on its dismantling of the Dept. of Education. Transparency matters, so I planned to broadcast today's roundtable discussion with Ed Secretary McMahon. Their response? Cancelling the roundtable entirely. youtube.com/shorts/z51Q_...
Gas prices just hit their highest level since the start of the war against Iran. Trump claimed the war would be over “very quickly.” Instead, Americans are facing more pain at the pump with no end in sight.

My statement on today’s Supreme Court ruling in Louisiana v. Callais that further eviscerates Voting Rights Act protections:
Good news: across the U.S., anti-immigration bills in state legislatures are failing—in large part because the business community is pushing back. I'm glad more folks are recognizing the immense contributions immigrants make to our nation. They deserve to be celebrated.
Trump's Iran war killed 13 U.S. servicemembers and thousands of civilians and spiked gas prices—and the Iranian regime is still in place. Now, Trump says "Cuba is next." Today, the Senate will vote on my resolution to prevent another illegal and unnecessary regime change war.
My colleagues and I are demanding that the Trump-Vance Administration swiftly release funding for global aid to save lives, promote stability, and protect diplomatic relationships that help keep America safe. A bipartisan majority passed this funding—withholding it is illegal.
Primero, Georgia. Luego, Arizona. Ahora, la administración de Trump ha exigido que el Condado de Wayne, Michigan, entregue todas las papeletas de la elección del 2024. Esto es una advertencia de una intención de intervenir en las elecciones del 2026 y 2028. Conozca sus derechos.
I'm glad over $1.7 million in FEMA grant funding I helped secure is coming to Southwest Virginia to repair critical infrastructure along Route 859 that was damaged during Hurricane Helene. I'll keep working to ensure SWVA has every resource needed to fully rebuild.
It's World Immunization Week. Over the past 50 years, vaccines have saved 154 million lives—that's 6 lives every minute. The Trump-Vance Administration is fueling dangerous anti-vaccine rhetoric despite overwhelming evidence that they are safe and effective. We must fight back.
I’m thinking of Dr. Lorna Breen—an MD from Charlottesville who died by suicide while on the COVID frontlines—and her loved ones today on the 6th anniversary of her death. Proud to have worked with her family to pass a law that funds support for our healers’ mental health.
I’m grateful that following the swift response of law enforcement officers, the President and all other guests at the WHCD last night are safe. As the attack is investigated, we all must condemn these increasingly common acts of political violence that are a stain on our country.
