Trump tonight tried to put a positive spin on the mess he’s made. It’s no comfort to the thousands of people who’ve lost their healthcare and their jobs thanks to his policies. #StateOfTheUnion
Americans have been getting crushed for months by Trump’s illegal tariffs. He has no empathy for their struggles - it’s just a hoax to him. #StateOfTheUnion
Trump claims to be “America First” but he’s spent his presidency more focused on Argentina, Venezuela, and Greenland than he has on the economic pain that Americans are facing. #StateOfTheUnion
Republicans gave Trump’s masked, armed ICE agents more money than we give the Marine Corps. And he’s upset that Democrats won’t give more funding to his lawless army? I won’t vote for another dollar until ICE is reined in. #StateOfTheUnion
Trump’s illegal tariffs cost the average family $1,700 last year. He should be refunding to Americans he stole from, not doubling down on his failed policy. #StateOfTheUnion
lmao Trump awkwardly slides into the gassing up tariffs part of his State of the Union speech. Note the lack of applause from Republicans.
The #StateOfTheUnion is great if you’re a billionaire, but for the rest of America, we’re stuck with unaffordable groceries, unaffordable healthcare, and the worst jobs market since The Great Recession. No wonder Americans no longer trust Trump on the economy.
Across America, families are being crushed by tariffs and high grocery prices. Tonight, my State of the Union guest is Lupe Lopez, a local grocer in Gilroy who has seen firsthand the struggle that folks are facing at the checkout.
Thanks to Dr. Allen Radner for dropping by our district office to discuss Salinas Valley Health’s priorities. In Congress, I’ll always support policies that improve patient care, expand healthcare access, and lower costs for Californians.
Yesterday, I presented $900,000 I helped to secure for the new Sí Se Puede Behavior Health Center in Watsonville. This facility will provide personalized, bilingual substance use disorder treatment, and I’m happy to see this funding boost their capacity to change more lives.
This year, I submitted Watsonville Veterans Hall as one of my community projects to receive federal funding, and I was proud to deliver $1.2 million for renovations to this much-needed community space. Thank you to all the veterans for joining us today and for your service. 🇺🇸

💰 GREAT NEWS: Today, I presented the City of Watsonville with $1,092,000 that I helped secure to replace the city’s wastewater infrastructure. This funding will go a long way to improving energy efficiency, keeping our water clean, and supporting community health.

We have some beautiful artwork in our Salinas district office. Yesterday, I had the chance to meet some of the artists, Steve Zmak and Wendy Crockett, and leaders of the Arts Council for Monterey County. Our community is so full of talent, and I’m proud to support local artists.
