Today is Day 9 of the Republican shutdown. Your regular reminders: 1. Republicans control the White House, Senate and House. 2. GOP making deep cuts to Medicaid, Medicare and ACA. 3. Democrats are fighting to lower costs, cancel the cuts and save healthcare for Americans.
We are in the second week of the Republican shutdown. Where are House Republicans? On vacation. Went looking around the Capitol to see if any Republicans had the common sense to come back. Featuring @mcbride.house.gov.

Relieved there were no reports of injuries from the large fire at the Chevron refinery in El Segundo. I expect to see full and robust investigations by state and federal authorities to determine what happened, and to make sure it doesn’t happen again. www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcn...

Searches for “second job” reach an all time high. More evidence that the policies of Trump and Republicans are crushing Americans financially.
Day 2 of the Republican shutdown. Your regular reminders: 1. GOP controls government. They control what bills get voted on and the vote thresholds for each bill. Senate GOP can pass their bad funding bill today if they felt like it. 2. Dems are fighting to lower costs and save healthcare.
The American people are smart. They know Trump and Republicans control government and Democrats do not. LAST MONTH SENATE REPUBLICANS CHANGED THEIR DUMB RULES TO ALLOW A MAJORITY VOTE. Then can do so again. GOP Senate can pass their bad funding bill today if they felt like it.

Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth were expecting rousing applause and standing ovations from our nation’s generals. They were met with silence. Generals know that what Trump is doing is wrong.
Republicans control every branch of government. They could stop the shutdown today. Senate GOP can change their stupid rules to go to a majority vote, just like they did to push through Trump’s nominees. The fact that they haven’t done this shows Republicans want the shutdown.
House Republicans need to come back, work with Democrats, and stop this Republican shutdown.
Today is Day 1 of the Republican shutdown. Republicans control the White House, Senate and House. Democrats have been here in DC working for the American people and fighting to lower costs, cancel cuts and save healthcare. Where are House Republicans? ON VACATION.
Democrats are in DC working to lower costs, cancel the cuts, and save health care. Where are congressional Republicans? It’s the day before a government shutdown... and they’re on vacation.
