Outrageous—oil executives notified of a military strike before Congress. And Trump's putting the lives of U.S. servicemembers at risk to help his donors get rich off Venezuela's oil. It's not about democracy or drugs. It's Iraq all over again, just more openly corrupt.
Reporter: Did you speak with the oil companies before the operation? Did you tip them off? Trump: Before and after. They want to go in and they’re going to do a great job.
While millions of Americans lose health care and prices are surging here at home, Trump doesn't care and has no solutions. Instead, he is threatening to bomb half the Western Hemisphere, occupy Venezuela, and annex Greenland. Is this America First?
This week, every Senator will have the opportunity to vote for or against the use of military force against Venezuela. I am voting AGAINST any war with Venezuela. Congress must rein in this corrupt and dangerous President IMMEDIATELY.
It is outrageous for a President who is tanking our economy here at home to suggest that the American taxpayer spend a fortune to “run” another country while doing nothing to make life better in America. I opposed the war in Iraq from the outset—and the parallels here are glaring.
I met with local leaders in Whatcom County today to see and discuss the damage caused by historic flooding last month. I will do everything I can in the Other Washington to help recover and rebuild. This next phase won't be easy—but together, we will get through it.
Senator Murray is speaking to a group of 5 people standing and facing her. Behind them is a large TV mounted on the wall with an image of trees and a group of tables shaped in a "U" formation.
16 people, including Senator Murray, are sitting in a white room around a large table. Everyone is listening intently to a man seated at the center of the table.
Senator Murray is standing with three men at a street corner. Large concrete blockades and a police car are in the street. A grassy area with fallen and dead branches are to the left of the image.
Senator Murray is walking next to a man who is pointing out in front of him. Another man is walking in front of them. On the other side of the Senator, there is a large amount of gravel covered by tarps. There is a large green building in front of them that says "7 PARCEL" at the top.
Health care premiums have skyrocketed for millions of families at a time when Trump's taxes have raised costs on nearly everything. But this didn't have to happen. Republicans knew costs would explode. And they ignored Democrats—ignored their constituents—and LET it happen.
2025 RECAP: It was a long, tough year—but we have to remember that Trump is not all powerful. Your voice and your vote MATTERS. And when we all speak out and fight back, we CAN make a difference.  Let's keep up the fight.
Wishing everyone in Washington state and across the country a Happy New Year.  Let's carry the lessons of 2025 with us as we continue to fight for the true promise of the country we love in the new year.
Republicans have already ensured that 2026 is the year of sky-high health care premiums.  Democrats will not stop working to bring down your costs and make sure everyone can get the health care they need.
2025 RECAP: Trump is the most corrupt President in American history. Each and every day this year, he’s abused his power to line his own pockets & help his billionaire friends. Trump has created a government run by the crooks, for the crooks.
I'm hearing from WA state small businesses who are feeling the squeeze from Trump's tariffs—with many having to raise prices and some being forced to shut their doors altogether.  More Republicans need to stand up to Trump and join Democrats to reverse these reckless tariffs.
2025 RECAP: Trump's immigration agenda is to use egregious force and tactics to detain people—including U.S. citizens—and frighten entire communities.  His cruel mass deportation agenda has been nothing short of depraved, and there must be accountability.
2025 RECAP: Trump & Republicans moved heaven and earth to make tax breaks for billionaires permanent by cutting Medicaid, SNAP & other programs families rely on.  Their pro-billionaire agenda has exploded the national debt by trillions while betraying working families.
2025 RECAP: Trump and his multi-billionaire Secretary of Education have worked overtime this year to hollow out the Department of Education and hurt students, teachers, and families.
The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act supports millions of workers & their right to basic workplace accommodations while pregnant. I helped pass this law 3 years ago & will keep fighting to prevent the Trump admin from undermining the protections pregnant workers need and deserve.
2025 RECAP: Trump has single-handedly raised taxes on working and middle-class families more than any president in my lifetime with his reckless tariffs—raising costs on everything from groceries and electricity bills.
2025 RECAP: From installing an anti-vax conspiracy theorist as our nation's top health care official to taking an axe to lifesaving biomedical research, the Trump administration has systematically put politics over science.
Trump's HHS has banned nearly 200 words for Head Start programs—like “‘disability,’ ‘women,’ ‘Tribal,’” and more—forcing programs to choose between complying with the law or bending to Trump's unlawful DEI ban to keep funding.  This is outrageous. I'm demanding answers.
