Have you heard about the Roadless Rule? It protects forestland across the country, but Trump wants to REPEAL IT! Nothing is final yet, so it's time to speak out. You can submit public comment to protect our public lands—just do it BEFORE 11:59pm EST on FRIDAY, September 19!
THE STATE OF PUBLIC HEALTH IN AMERICA: I asked former CDC official Deb Houry how she found out about the updated COVID vaccine guidance. She found out by tweet. On social media. Her title? Chief Medical Officer. Vaccine policy by tweet is not radical transparency—it's ABSURD and reckless.
Republicans have made it pretty clear they will do literally anything except lower the cost of health care. They see premiums are set to skyrocket, and they’re content to twiddle their thumbs in response and ignore Democratic solutions. Couldn't be a bigger contrast.
JD Vance is a real disgrace. Of course, political violence is not unique to either side. We should not expect any serious effort from the White House to bring the country together. We'll have to do that on our own.
Vance: "While our side of the aisle certainly has its crazies, it is a statistical fact that most of the lunatics in American politics today are proud members of the far-Left."
Trump made his marching orders plain as day, saying, "Don’t even bother dealing with them." I’ve got some news for Republicans: if you "don’t even bother" dealing with Democrats, and find you don’t have the votes you need to fund the government—THAT is a Republican shutdown.
Premiums are set to skyrocket next year, and families will be getting notices from their insurance companies very soon about these higher prices. When you do, know that it's because Trump and Republicans are choosing to put billionaires and CEOs over working people.
Trump wants to insert private AI companies between seniors on Medicare and their doctors—with prior authorization creating delays and denials in getting the care you need. This is an effort to cut Medicare benefits for seniors. I’ll be fighting to block this every way I can.
RFK Jr. has been methodically dismantling our public health system, pushing out scientists & experts who refuse to put his cuckoo-bananas nonsense over decades of hard, scientific evidence. Today, while discussing how WA state is stepping up, I reiterated that he must be FIRED.
It should not matter who anyone voted for when it comes to disaster relief. It is plain as day that Donald Trump is abusing DHS and FEMA to pick and choose which suffering Americans get help. I am demanding accountability, transparency, and answers.
note how Trump explicitly links approving disaster aid for Wisconsin and South Dakota to the fact he won Wisconsin and South Dakota

I just informed Senator Ron Johnson that, based on his request, I am approving $29.8 Million Dollars for the wonderful State of Wisconsin to help them recover from the major storms and flooding they experienced in August. We had Huge Victories in Wisconsin in 2016, 2020, and 2024, and it is my Honor to deliver BIG for Wisconsinites!

I just got off the phone with our wonderful Republican Leader John Thune. I am approving over $500,000 for the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribe in the Great State of South Dakota for the terrible Storms and Flooding they endured in June. I love the people of South Dakota, who voted for me in Historic Margins in 2016, 2020, and 2024. Together, we will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
America has to be a place where we settle disagreements with our votes and our voices. Last night, the President chose to divide and incite. It's difficult to ignore that. Leaders need to bring our country together. There is always a way back. We need to get there together.
Today, I'm remembering the nearly 3,000 people we lost on 9/11, along with the many first responders who ran into the danger that day and in the days after. Our strength as a nation comes when we embrace our humanity and stand together.
Kids were shot at their school in Colorado today. We don’t have to sit by and simply accept school shootings as a fact of life in America.

Congress can pass meaningful gun safety laws—and I am ready to do exactly that.
Just months ago, the Speaker of the MN House was killed. Now, Charlie Kirk. This must end.   Political violence is a uniquely dangerous thing. We make ourselves heard with our voices and votes.
We cannot settle disagreements with violence in this country.
Political violence is never acceptable. It's really that simple. We can't have a democracy otherwise. I hope Mr. Kirk makes a full recovery. My thoughts are with his family.
This is a good first step. And like I've said, it's important for the Senate to hear from former CDC Director Monarez. Next, RFK Jr. needs to answer to the Senate, and he should be fired immediately. Time for radical transparency, RFK Jr.
Time for Republicans to get real: they control the House, the Senate, AND the White House. Republicans are in the driver's seat. If they let this car go off the cliff and shut down the government, it will be a REPUBLICAN SHUTDOWN.
