The Veterans Surviving Spouse Parity Act was inspired by two of my constituents. I’m proud to lead this legislation because we owe surviving spouses recognition for their sacrifice as well.

Praying for a swift recovery for my friend and colleague @repmarcykaptur.bsky.social, and that the driver responsible is found quickly and held accountable.
Every child in America deserves the chance to grow up, finish school, and build a future free from coercion and abuse. That’s why I’m proud to lead the Child Marriage Prevention Act—to help end child marriage nationwide and protect our nation’s children.
Billionaires get tax breaks while seniors pay more for their prescription drugs and hospitals are forced to shutter.
61 years ago today, Medicare and Medicaid were signed into law. Millions of Americans have been able to receive health care as a result.
Instead of strengthening these programs, Donald Trump and congressional Republicans are slashing funding and introducing uncertainty.
America, that is called stagflation and it is really, really bad.
Democrats delivered an growing economy with rising wages and Republicans burned it down (again) with billionaire tax cuts, deregulatory “diarrhea lettuce” policies, and flat out corruption.
You deserve better.
For all their talk about personal liberties and small government, this is the Republican Party of today. They want a police state where they are free to control your body and track your every move, especially if you’re a woman.
Every dollar spent on Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran, and record-breaking military funding, is a dollar not spent investing in our children or fixing the affordability crisis.
I joined my colleagues in visiting ICE detainees in Campbell County, Kentucky. It is unconscionable that Congressional Republicans green-lit BILLIONS in additional funding for ICE, but continue to mistreat detainees who are pregnant or have medical conditions like diabetes.
I’m at the Campbell County Detention Center in Kentucky today with @ramirez.house.gov and @repmcgarvey.bsky.social conducting congressional oversight following reports of inhumane conditions and inadequate medical care of people in custody.

I am heading into Campbell County Detention Center in Kentucky with @repgwenmoore.bsky.social @repmcgarvey.bsky.social to provide oversight of the facility consistent with congressional oversight authority and duties.
Republicans are pushing legislation to allow religious organizations to break the law.
Still, it’s disheartening that they voted down my amendment that would allow the IRS to strip tax-exempt status from those organizations if they promote the beliefs or practice of child marriage.
A man was killed in the streets by the police in Madison. His last breaths were captured on video. I’m heartbroken for his family and loved ones who are now grieving. We need transparency and accountability, and that starts with a thorough investigation.
Trump promised a deal and a quick end to his Iran war, but it only continues to spiral and cost American lives.
Instead of supporting a War Powers Resolution, Republicans want to give the Trump admin billions more.
Republicans are enabling Trump’s reckless war of choice.
I’m leading an effort with @durbin.senate.gov, @kirstengillibrand.bsky.social, and @schatz.bsky.social to help end this predatory practice.
Child marriages still happen in the U.S. In most instances, young girls are married to adult men, taking away their ability to control their futures and their bodies.

My statement on Rep. Massie's Amendment: gwenmoore.house.gov/news/documen...
I will never stop standing up and using my voice as an elected official to condemn the violence and terror ICE is unleashing on our communities.
