We, Latine elected officials representing Chicago's Northwest Side and surrounding suburbs, condemn Trump's military intervention in Venezuela.

Blatant lies, corruption, and complete disregard for lawful court orders—enough is enough. I am going to do everything in my power to make sure Noem and her enablers are held accountable.
Yes, I'm taking the first step towards Noem's impeachment.
I demand a full investigation into Secretary Noem's unlawful actions and unethical behavior. The people will have accountability.
DHS detention has always been dehumanizing, unsafe, undignified—all while generating profits for private prison companies. Enough! We don’t need any more detention centers. That is why I am co-sponsoring the Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act to end detention and to restore due process.

I am proud to stand with Illinois National Guard members and military veterans who are choosing to be on the right side of history and calling out Trump’s authoritarian occupation of our city.
I know that this was a difficult week for the people of Chicago, especially for parents of young children. I want to remind you that, as a member of the Homeland Security Committee, I am determined to use every tool at my disposal to put a stop to an agency that is terrorizing our families.
He has made a heartfelt and deeply personal decision not to seek re-election. I wish him and his family the best as they embark on this next chapter as private citizens.
For more than four decades, Congressman García has dedicated his life to building power for Latinos, immigrants, and working families. His public service made it possible for generations of Latinos to run for office and serve our communities, including me.
🔥Congrats Zohran! This victory is a model for the kind of grassroots leadership and working-class coalition building needed to beat Donald Trump’s authoritarianism and billionaire-class oligarchy. It proves that a politics rooted in solidarity and that puts people first can win.
From Chicago to New York, wishing Team Mamdani a great election day. The people of New York deserve a mayor that will fight for working families and hold the billionaire class accountable. Let's go Zohran! The people are with you!

The truth is simple: trans people didn’t ship our jobs overseas. Immigrants didn’t cut millions of Americans’ healthcare.
The real problem is obscene wealth concentration and corporate greed.
We cannot get tricked by their scapegoating.
I do all this courageously because of the movement that stands with me. Thank you to everyone that helped us collect over 4300 petition signatures to get me back on the ballot!
As we file for re-election at such a dark time for our communities, I am more clear than ever on why you sent me to fight for you in DC. We will continue to challenge the status quo, keep fighting to advance a working people's agenda, and stand up to confront authoritarianism.
We have your back and we will do everything in our power to end the unconstitutional tactics brought upon by Trump’s fascist administration.
While masked agents continue to kidnap our neighbors, my colleagues and I are not standing down. We are motivated by all the rapid response teams that courageously protect our communities every day.
Watch Live Now: Congresspeople from across the country are in Chicago to conduct oversight over ICE and DHS' unconstitutional campaign of terror on our communities.
