Congress is a co-equal branch of government, not a rubber stamp. Today, I offered three bills to rein in Trump’s executive overreach: to protect the Constitution, defend the independence of the Federal Reserve, and reassert Congress's power of the purse.
Enough is enough. We need action now!
Why is Donald Trump attacking the Fed, and why should we be paying attention?
Because, he’s trying to rig the system, and it could affect your job, savings, and the cost of everything. Oh yeah, and it’s creating opportunities for some to cash out while destabilizing the economy for everyone else.
Some excellent news for once! DOT just announced a $2.7 million grant for Albuquerque Public Schools' Vision Zero for Youth Initiative!
This grant will help protect students walking to school, walking to the bus, or riding their bikes in the neighborhood—and help keep our students safe!
The American people and survivors deserve truth and justice in the Epstein Case.
Our investigation continues with new subpoenas this week of his key associates. It is more clear than ever that Trump and the Admin are engaged in a cover-up with only 1% of materials disclosed.
Impeachment
War Powers
Invading a NATO Ally!?!?
The Epstein Files
Passing Healthcare
Funding agreements
And yes, more showerheads
The week that was and the week ahead. ⬇️
Donald Trump is now using DOJ to threaten the Fed Chair. Threats to an independent Fed impact market stability, inflation, costs, your retirement, and employment—things Americans cannot afford. This is clearly an abuse of power.

But for real, where are the Epstein Files!?
We’ve watched as my GOP colleagues have looked the other way while the President and his Admin have ignored the Constitution & rule of law & wreaked havoc on our country.
If lawmakers won’t stand up for the American people, then the American people must stand up at the ballot box in November.
Exploitation and trafficking only thrive when systems meant to protect the vulnerable, protect the rich and powerful.
Trump’s refusal to release the Epstein files is a reminder that those systems are failing. We won’t stop fighting until justice is served. #NationalHumanTraffickingAwarenessDay
I refuse to stay silent while politicians claim to stand with hard-working Americans then turn around & do the bidding of corporations.
This week, House Dems showed what it looks like to get it done by forcing a vote on Healthcare tax credits. We chose hard-working Americans over special interests!
Yet another act of sabotage and incompetence by DHS that will directly endanger and harm our communities.
In the wake of disasters, FEMA helps communities get through the worst. But Noem plans to cut workers whose sole job is responding to disasters.
Our communities deserve better.
The lack of empathy, gaslighting, & lies coming from this Administration is shameful and dangerous. A woman has died. People are scared. Over 30 people have died in detention. They are inciting violence and endangering our communities. It must stop. Which is why I’m joining the effort to impeach.
Follow. 👏 The. 👏 Money. 👏
Yesterday, the President summoned oil titans to the White House to discuss selling off Venezuelan oil. The WH says Trump is already selling the oil, using foreign accounts, and would do so “indefinitely”—authorities he does not have. So, we are investigating!
Our nurses are chronically overworked, underpaid, & understaffed, and it’s way past time we overhaul our healthcare system to support them.
That’s why I re-introduced the Public Health Nursing Act with @markey.senate.gov, which will help rebuild and sustain a robust public health nursing workforce.
As they say: follow the money. When you see the president invading foreign countries & stealing oil, corporate giveaways, & talking about using foreign banking—you have to ask—what is actually going on here?
We’re watching, Mr. President. We will follow the money. And, we will hold you to account.
The violence against our communities must stop. Two more shot last night. That’s why I will be joining in filing articles of impeachment against Secretary of DHS Noem.
This is a HUGE WIN for the American people! Today, House Democrats forced a vote on a 3-year extension of the ACA healthcare credits to ensure millions of Americans don’t lose care. This is a big deal. Now on to the Senate!
My heart is heavy with the passing of Roberto Mondragón, a lifelong public servant who dedicated his life to the people and culture of New Mexico.
His legacy lives on in the countless people he inspired and the future he worked so hard to build. Sending my love and condolences to his loved ones.
The Senate has officially passed a War Powers resolution, reaffirming Congress’s war powers. Once again for those Trump officials in the back: 📣 the President MUST GET CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL 📣 before taking large-scale military action. What he has done in Venezuela is unlawful and must be reined in.
This cannot stand. Which is why we will be joining Rep. Robin Kelly to file articles of impeachment against Secretary Noem in the coming days.
