No family should ever have to learn that a loved has been killed by a federal ICE agent. This must stop. We need a full and independent investigation into what happened and we must hold this inhumane and reckless Administration accountable. Full stop.

Like many of you we are angry and heartbroken at the news of the shooting Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. My heart is with his family and the community as they face this unimaginable loss.

My heart & prayers to Nolan Wells’ family as they navigate this tremendous loss. Nolan was the best of us: A hard worker, an outstanding athlete, & a loyal friend.
I join the Wells family, community members, & leaders across the country in calling for a transparent investigation into this tragedy.
As we’re reflecting on America’s 250th & what it means for NM—we’re exploring NM’s cultural institutions and histories. Today, with the National Hispanic Cultural Center in ABQ.
For many of our communities, their roots go back long before the U.S. existed. And, we are fiercely proud of our culture!
From mental health support to addiction, our neighbors are being forced to go without the care they deserve. But in NM, we take care of each other.
That’s why I’m proud to have secured millions for Behavioral Health Clinics to serve rural and Tribal communities across the NM. ❤️
In New Mexico we know water is life. But, we also know that our communities are facing a difficult time right now as our river is running dry.
Here’s an update on everything that’s happening and what we’re doing to fight to protect New Mexico’s waters! 💧
Art is an act of resistance!
Today, we convened ABQ artists, scholars, historians and cultural institutions to reflect on what America’s 250th birthday means to our communities and what our office can do to help support the arts community in a time when art and culture are under attack. 🎨🖌️
From the ancient Salt Flats near Willard, to the Pueblo and Mission at Quarai, to coffee with our communities in Mountainair, to learning about the culture and traditions of our Land Grants—NM is so full of history and culture.
Tomorrow we’ll be back in ABQ and Valencia County, so come say hi!
This is what it looks like when you have leaders and policies that care for our people. Go New Mexico! Healthcare is a human right!

Happy Fourth of July, New Mexico! We love you! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸
It was profound to reflect on our nation’s promise and the work ahead to truly live up to it. I was truly honored to rep New Mexico and be able to sign the official Congressional Record that on this historic day—New Mexico was in the House. Happy 250th birthday, America! Have an amazing day! 🇺🇸
Happy Fourth of July Everyone!
As celebrations kick off across the country, I wanted to share some moments from our Congressional celebration of America’s 250th Birthday at Independence Hall—in the actual room where it happened!

Happy 4th everyone!
This was America at our Bicentennial in 1976. Let’s not let them take our joy! 🇺🇸❤️🌟
