But, that fight isn’t over—as the President and his allies still try to pass the SAVE Act and roll back the Voting Rights Act.   But, we will not go back! We’re fighting back in Congress, the courts, and our communities to ensure every American & every woman has access to the ballot box!💪🗳️💕 (2/2)
As 1st in the US for state investment in homegrown science & tech startups, NM State Investment Council & NM Economic Development Department are leading investments in innovation while our communities fuel the science & tech that’s transforming the future! Amazing to see these projects come to life!
Once again, New Mexico is leading the way in science & tech! From a new quantum innovation hub in ABQ that will host nearly a dozen quantum startups to a $4 billion investment by Intel in its only U.S. advanced packaging facility right here in Rio Rancho—NM is leading the science & tech revolution!
Another huge week here in the district: 🌶️ Chile roasting and small businesses 🔬 Science & tech 🎤 Town halls & tours 🐺 Back to school at UNM 🏠 Affordable housing 🌱 Fighting for our farmers and water 🎉 50th anniversary of the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center Come out to see us and say hi!
Happy first day of school to our UNM Lobos! From our first-year students, graduating seniors, grad and doctoral students, and everything in between—I hope you have the best year ever at UNM! We’ll see you later this week! Everyone’s a Lobo, woof woof woof! 🐺🐾❤️
Water is life in New Mexico and our water supply is changing! We cannot build New Mexico’s (or the West’s) future without taking that into consideration. The science is clear. We need to invest in water infrastructure, support rural and tribal communities, and keep pushing forward!
What a week it’s been! From town halls to feast days, fiestas, and first days of school, visits to the chamber of commerce, local start ups, food banks, and animal shelter. Meetings with Tribal leaders, mayors, city and county leaders. Economic development, science and tech, and the arts. (1/2)
We’ve been talking Tribal sovereignty, economic development, investments in science and technology, protecting our lands and waters, and so much more. If you’re out and about come say hi and join us this week for our town halls, coffees and community events & have a beautiful weekend! (2/2)
Today, on Navajo Code Talkers Day we honor the courage & service of those who served our nation during World War II. We are grateful to every Navajo Code Talker & to every New Mexican who has worn the uniform & answered the call to serve. Their service, sacrifice, & legacy will never be forgotten.
Adopt a shelter animal! ❤️🐾 These little cuties are looking for their forever homes at the Humane Society of Lincoln County in Ruidoso. Grateful to the good people (and their furry friends) for the tour yesterday and for their leadership in supporting the needs of our animals!
Happy Thursday! A beautiful day on the road in Lincoln County, Mescalero, Ruidoso, and Carrizozo—doing all the things! We’re on our way back and stopping at one of our favs—at the Buckhorn in San Antonio! Grateful to spend the day down south in some of our favorite communities.
Health care is a human right. We are working every day to build a system that serves everyone! That means investing in hospitals, clinics, emergency services, transportation systems, and the next generation of health care providers—so that every New Mexican can access the care they deserve.
