I met with Easterseals to discuss expanding support for Michiganders with disabilities, strengthening the direct care workforce, and making sure families can access the services they need.
My Statement on the DHS Funding Package.
As we kick off a new season, here’s a friendly reminder that I’m here to serve YOU. If you or anyone you know needs help with a federal agency, don’t hesitate to reach out to my office at 616-451-8383.
I appreciated meeting with advocates from the National Breast Cancer Coalition, including voices from Grand Rapids, to discuss expanding access to care, lowering treatment costs, and supporting lifesaving cancer research. Every family deserves the best chance to fight and survive cancer.
Sending out my weekly newsletter helps me stay transparent and accountable to YOU.

50 years and still a West Michigan staple. Congrats to Yesterdog on being named one of the top hot dog spots in the country—well deserved!

Is a federal agency giving you the runaround? Do you need help getting your Social Security, your tax return, or another federal benefit? My team and I are here to help. Please give us a call at (616) 451-8383 and we can help you like we helped Camille!
Unused and expired medications can be dangerous if they end up in the wrong hands or flushed into our water systems. Proud to see communities across West Michigan stepping up for National Drug Take Back Day and helping keep families safe.

Operating engineers help keep our communities running. I will keep pushing for worker safety, fair wages, and continued infrastructure investment.
Some meetings remind you what’s at stake. I am grateful for the conversation with the American Coalition for Ukraine on standing with Ukraine, strengthening partnerships, and demanding the return of abducted Ukrainian children.

When Michigan builds, union workers lead the way. Good to sit down with the Michigan Building Trades Council today to talk about what it takes to keep projects moving, grow the next generation of skilled trades workers, and make sure hard work still comes with good pay and strong benefits.
I met with Trinity Health leadership to talk about what matters most: lowering health care costs, strengthening our workforce, and expanding access to care. I’ll keep fighting for West Michigan families and the care they deserve.
