📞 I called Judge Juliet Britton to deliver some great news that I am bringing $500,000 for Beaverton’s Behavioral Health Court so they can continue their work toward helping people get the mental health treatment and services they need for recovery.
From groceries to medical bills, Americans are seeing rising costs across the board.
What is Trump's response? He dismisses, downplays, and distracts. My @newdems.bsky.social colleagues and I are working on real solutions to reverse his manufactured cost-of-living crisis.

Trump thinks he is “Making America Affordable Again.”
That couldn’t be further from the truth. Grocery prices keep rising, with staples like beef up 16% and coffee up 20%, forcing every American to pay more.
President Trump and Republicans’ One Big Ugly Bill made the largest cut to Medicaid in U.S. history and at the same time is giving ICE $75 billion to harm our communities.
Yep, you read that right.

In Oregon, agriculture makes up 13% of our state’s gross product – and over 95% of Oregon’s farms and ranches are family owned and operated. Using tariffs as a blunt tool negatively impacts agriculture supply chain and hurts our economy.
📣 I will be hosting an IN-PERSON town hall this Saturday at 3:00 PM in #Wilsonville!

President Trump does not care about you or our neighbors who are just trying to provide for their families.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social and I are doing everything we can to make sure that we put a full stop to Trump & Republicans' extreme & harmful policies. (4/4)
❌ Myth: “Costs were going to go way up. And that's what happened. And now I'm bringing them way down on health care and everything else.”
✅ FACT: ACA premiums have SKYROCKETED for over 22 million people because Trump and Senate Republicans have let these lifesaving tax credits EXPIRE. (3/4)
❌ Myth: “And as time goes by, I believe the tariffs paid for by foreign countries will…[take] a great financial burden off the people that I love.”
✅ FACT: Hardworking families have had to pay, on average, an additional $1,745 since February 2025 because of Trump's ill-thought-out tariffs. (2/4)
Last night, Trump spewed lies about some of his policies… let’s debunk a few of his claims.
❌ Myth: "In one year, we have lifted 2.4M Americans, a record, off of food stamps."
✅Fact: Millions of Americans are at risk of losing food assistance because their Big, Ugly Bill CUTS $187B from SNAP.(1/4)
@merkley.senate.gov & I will not stand idly while the Trump Administration & its ICE vigilantes terrorize our community.
That is why we introduced a new bill to allow people to sue ICE & CBP for violating their constitutional rights.
ICE must be held accountable to put a full stop to its abuses.
No one deserves to live their lives in fear of discrimination or hate because of who they are or who they love.
As a vice chair of the @equality.house.gov, I will not stop fighting until the Equality Act is the law of the land.
