This is exactly what NOT to do when you're at war. Trump is now threatening NATO allies with a "very bad future" if they don't help secure the Strait of Hormuz. You don't win wars by alienating every ally you have.
Trump can't control the battlefield, so now he's trying to control what you see and hear about his unauthorized war.
While American servicemembers are dying in Iran, the Trump administration is threatening to strip broadcast licenses from any news outlet that is reporting on the war. This is censorship.
224 years ago, the United States Military Academy at West Point was founded. The academy has long produced America’s finest men and women who dedicate their lives to defending our country. As a veteran, nominating students to attend the academy is one of my greatest honors in Congress.
Continuing the war in Iran won't just put our troops in danger, it will spike your gas bills, drain your retirement accounts, expose our hospitals to cyberattacks, and send inflation through the roof.
5 years ago today, a gunman killed 8 people at 3 spas in Atlanta. Today, we remember those lost and hold their loved ones in our hearts. We must commit to enacting sensible policies to end gun violence in our communities.
Glad to see that the courts are resisting Trump’s attack on the incredibly hard-working staff at the VA. Stripping their contract is an attack on working class Americans, health care access, and our country’s veterans. Thank you, AFGE.

#Throwback to when I made a tandem parachute jump in Tucson, Arizona with Seal Team Six! This took me back to my days with the 173rd Airborne Division and as an instructor with the Army Airborne School.
This president knew his war with Iran would raise gas prices. California shouldn’t suffer for his bad decisions. This pipeline was already rejected by the courts and by Californians. It needs to stay shut down. I’ve always and will always oppose oil drilling off our beautiful coast.
Secured $850,000 in funding for the Napa Valley Vine Trail to help connect Yountville and St. Helena. The Vine Trail is a treasure for our community, and I can't wait to see all the walkers, cyclists and families who get to use the trail.

After the closure of a major peach processing plant left growers in California facing canceled contracts and financial hardship, I led a bipartisan group of my colleagues to call on working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to provide emergency assistance and support for these producers.

Calling all #CA04 high schoolers! The 2026 Congressional Art Competition is now open! Every year, tens of thousands of talented artists submit pieces, and the winners have their work displayed in the halls of the Capitol.
Always an honor to support and celebrate the local leaders serving our district.
Great to spend time with members of the community in the Sonoma Valley passing the cane and celebrating 2026 Honorary Alcalde, Gary Edwards. Gary’s commitment to serving the Sonoma Valley community makes this achievement well-earned.
As a combat veteran, I know the true cost of war. I oppose putting American boots on the ground in Iran. With strikes now centered on areas with major oil infrastructure, this is looking more and more like a war about oil, not the safety of the American people.

I will continue to work with local leaders and fight for funding that helps our communities who need it most.
Great to tour Forget Me Not Farms. The farm provides therapy and mentoring programs to at-risk youth and abuse survivors while they care for animals and crops. Mental health is one of the most important issues facing our youth, and these services are key to supporting youth in Sonoma.
Americans across the Middle East have been told to “DEPART NOW,” but many have no way to leave. The State Department needs to step up and do their job. Americans are in danger.
I was proud to support the federal grant program that helped make this project possible, and I’ll keep fighting to expand access to safe, affordable housing for families across our district. Thank you to all who made this project possible. Fortunate to be part of a remarkably generous community.
