Insurance costs are soaring in areas with high climate risk, like North Carolina.
No insurance = no mortgage.
No mortgage = no buyers.
No buyers = property values crash.
This is how climate risk leads to economic collapse.
This raises your utility bills, shifting money to fossil fuel owners and suppliers — AKA Trump donors.
At any given level of power demand, solar and wind usually come in cheaper, meaning big polluting fossil fuel units stand down and don’t get paid. That’s the key.

Health care premiums are set to increase in Leader Thune's home state of South Dakota by TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY FIVE PERCENT (235%!!!) next year.
Well, that didn’t last long.
Do the math: Republicans now have government shut down over WHEN they negotiate to extend Affordable Care credits. Seems silly.
Can they give a reason? Or is it House Republican terror over the Jeffery Epstein vote that keeps them away?
But notice the move: from ignoring health care, to lying about health care, to conceding healthcare fix is needed, to offering a vote some time later on extending Affordable Care credits, to “guarantee.”
