Wrapping up my day in Clintwood at the Dickenson Community Hospital talking about the urgent need to protect rural health care. We need serious action to ensure rural clinics can continue to provide care as Trump’s Medicaid cuts wreak havoc across the country.
Trump and Republicans handed more than $200 billion to immigration enforcement agencies. How are they using your taxpayer funds? They’re arresting nuns and targeting people who speak out against them. That’s not public safety. That’s an abuse of power.
Trump appointed Bill Pulte – who doesn’t even have a security clearance – to serve as Acting DNI. Then he told him to “declassify whatever you want.” Time and time again, this administration shows a reckless disregard for our national security.
A great morning in Patrick County dropping off $785,000 for Connect Health & Wellness to continue expanding their incredible health care services. As rural health care providers deal with painful funding cuts, I’m proud to fight each and every day to get them all the support I can.
The Supreme Court struck down Trump’s illegal attempt to end birthright citizenship. While it’s unlikely that this fight is over, today’s decision affirms our Constitution and celebrates our nation’s enduring ideal: “out of many, one.”
The average age of a first-time homebuyer is now 40 – a decade older than it was in 2010. That’s a crisis. Yet Trump still refuses to do the bare minimum and sign the overwhelmingly bipartisan law that could help lower housing costs.
Trump has spent $16 million on a failed renovation of the Reflecting Pool and now plans to redrain it and start again. Your tax dollars are being flushed down the toilet while millions of Americans struggle with rampant inflation.
Trump is intent on raising Americans’ prices. His disastrous war of choice, his painful tariffs, and his refusal to do anything on housing have already spiked inflation. It’s only going to keep soaring higher.
An insult to every family struggling to make their rent payment. A stick in the eye to every young adult scrimping, saving, and putting off starting a family to be able to afford their first home.
BREAKING NEWS: Donald Trump is now REFUSING to sign our bipartisan law that would lower your housing costs. He doesn’t care about anything but enriching himself and disenfranchising voters. We will NEVER stop fighting to tackle the housing crisis.
