This bill, which I'm leading in the House, is an important step towards building a firewall within the prescription-drug supply chain:
On one side, the "medical": those who research, manufacture, prescribe and/or dispense Rx drugs.

I appreciate the hundreds of constituents who showed up at Sunday’s town halls in Needham and Newton. I got my start in government by knocking on doors, and a decade later, nothing energizes me more than taking questions and talking to constituents.
America will need to continue working with our Israeli, Arab, and Kurdish allies to prevent ISIS terrorists from gaining traction and to push back on foreign powers, including Turkey, that may want to assert suzerainty over the self-determination of the long-suffering Syrian people.
The enemy of your enemy isn’t necessarily your friend. The fall of the brutal al-Assad regime is a measure of justice and a loss for both Iran and Russia. The victorious rebel group has strong ties to Sunni Islamist extremism, however. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z1m...
My bipartisan bill, Pharmacists Fight Back, would go even further in reforms to help patients, pharmacists, and taxpayers, and has already secured more than 50 co-sponsors.
I joined Rep. Buddy Carter’s bipartisan PBM press conference to advocate for the lame-duck Congress to end rebates (a polite term for kickbacks) in Medicare and to begin demanding transparency and benchmarked pricing.
Sitting in the middle of a complicated and opaque supply chain, they realized they could extract rents, profiting off higher drug prices that they passed onto patients and taxpayers.
Pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) performed a useful function when they were formed last century. They managed formularies and payments, and they pushed back on drugmakers. But, then PBMs got greedy.

I have been made aware of imposter accounts on Bluesky. This is my only Bluesky account. If you have any questions, please contact my press team at auchinclosspress@mail.house.gov.
This week, Cole's father joined me in Washington to honor his memory and to call on Congress to pass my Pharmacists Fight Back Act, which aims to end the price-gouging practices of PBMs and prevent tragedies like Cole’s from happening again.
He was told that no generic drug would be covered by his insurance, and Cole was forced to choose between paying for his medication, or for his rent. He chose to pay his rent. Five days later, Cole suffered a severe asthma attack that led to cardiac arrest and his untimely death.
In Jan, Cole William Schmidtknecht went to the pharmacy to refill his asthma medication, which he had taken for years. At the pharmacy, Cole found out that the Pharmacy Benefit Manager had increased the price of Cole’s steroid prescription from $35 dollars to over $500 dollars.

During the holiday season, tens of thousands of children face difficult circumstances in hospitals and other challenging environments where the joy of play is far out of mind and reach.
Today, I joined LEGO's #BuildToGive initiative, to send a Lego set to a child in need.
Salt Typhoon is the worst telecom hack in American history, and demands both a proportionate response to the Chinese Communist Party and increased accountability for U.S. corporations to prevent these intrusions.

The $7 million in Community Project Funding my office secured to improve Newton’s commuter rail will help kickstart a virtuous cycle of better service and increased ridership.
This upgrade helps commuters, supports affordable housing, and advances the goal of regional rail.

The Lebanese Army must ensure Hezbollah does not again use southern Lebanon as a launching ground for its terror campaign against the Israeli people.
Today's ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah is progress, though it must actively ensure the safe return of Israelis displaced from their homes in northern Israel by Hezbollah's rocket attacks. www.youtube.com/watch?v=grXL...
The goal was 50 co-sponsors by Thanksgiving. #PharmacistsFightBackAct now has 50! This momentum was made possible by the pharmacists, advocates, and patients who have rallied to end PBM greed. Congress can’t ignore these powerful voices.
