While you were sleeping, House Republicans tried to extend surveillance authority in the dead of night.
Without safeguards to prevent Trump from spying on Americans.
We defeated their plan.
Congress can’t let Trump’s Admin have unfettered access to our most sensitive communications.

Today, House Republicans voted to let Trump keep fighting his illegal war with Iran.
While we didn’t have the votes to win today, we can’t stop.
We must push to end this war and focus on the real problems facing Americans.
🚨House Republicans’ vote will let Trump keep spending billions of your taxpayer dollars to wage war with Iran. 🚨
This war has had immense costs.
It is wrong and unacceptable to let the chaos continue.
This #TaxDay, American families are paying the price:
💸 $740 MORE for gas because of Trump’s war on Iran
💸 $2,500 MORE because of Trump’s tariffs
But his billionaire buddies are cashing in on tax breaks. 🤑
It’s time to end the betrayal & lower costs for working Americans.
Trump first abandoned diplomacy when he shredded the deal to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.
He chose to give up on it again to launch yet another foreign war rife with the economic chaos of high grocery and gas prices.
We have to end this war as quickly as possible.

On his visit to Rhode Island, I asked Raja why it’s so important to invest in science and keep on discovering.
Inspired by the discussion NASA Astronaut Raja Chari held with the Brown Planetary Education and Outreach Center students working at the cutting edge of planetary science.

Trump's threat to “take over” Cuba recklessly risks dragging America into yet another unnecessary war.
Cubans deserve freedom and dignity. But not at the point of Trump’s sword.
Alongside @meeks.house.gov and @jayapal.house.gov, we must act to prevent an illegal conflict with Cuba.
A bunch of insiders are making out like bandits over recent decisions on war and peace.
That’s just wrong and immoral.
