Thank you to everyone who attended our Social Security Town Hall with former SSA Commissioner Martin O'Malley. Trump and Elon are trying to destroy Social Security and I know how worried many of you are. We are going to fight like hell to protect the benefits you've earned.

Just sat down on the Capitol Steps with my good friend @booker.senate.gov to have a real conversation about the dangerous situation we confront in America.
And what we can all do to stop it.
Tune in live: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBej...

Elon Musk, the DOGE bros, and Donald Trump are coming in with a chainsaw to cut Social Security.
Former Commissoner Martin O’Malley and I hosted a Social Security town hall in Cleveland to hear your voices, fight back, and protect your benefits.
As Yom HaShoah comes to a close, we remember the six million Jews who were murdered during the holocaust—lives stolen by hatred, antisemitism, and silence. Never forget. Never again.
Interested in starting your own business? Register for our Small Business Expo on Saturday May 3 to network with business leaders, learn about resources, and receive information on branding, contracting, financing and more.

Today my office learned that the Trump Administration is terminating a federal grant for the Cleveland Peacemakers Alliance which had supported services for gun violence survivors.
This is a disgraceful betrayal – of the law, of decency, and of the people of Cleveland.
Trump and Elon are trying to break Social Security. We have got to fight back - no cuts, no delays, no "reforms" that send people to call centers. No games with Social Security.

Earth Day is a reminder that Trump’s attacks on our environment are also an attack on our economy.
By threatening our land, our water, and our air, Trump is risking food shortages, raising prices, and killing new energy jobs at a time Americans are already struggling.
Our small business expo is less than 2 weeks away. I hope to see you there—register today at shontelbrown.house.gov/expo

I join millions in mourning Pope Francis. Francis was a powerful voice for the poor and marginalized and a source of spiritual strength for Catholics in NE Ohio and around the world. May he rest in peace and his legacy continue.
Reportedly the Trump Admin plans to end FDA routine food inspections.
With a break-first, ask-later approach, Trump has repeatedly ignored the real-world impact of his decisions – and one thing we should definitely not break is food safety.
This isn’t complicated: less food safety means more people getting sick—and more people dying.
E. coli doesn’t care about budget cuts.
I’ll fight these dangerous rollbacks every step of the way.

Today I stood with TSA Workers and AFGE Local 615 in support of collective bargaining rights for TSA employees.
Trump’s attacks on union rights are bad for workers, passengers, and our country.
Social Security might not matter to Trump & Elon but it sure matters to people in NE Ohio.
Social Security is an earned benefit people need, but Trump and the DOGE bros are trying to dismantle it.
Democrats are fighting back: no cuts, no layoffs, no delays, no privatization.
