Democracy cannot survive by suppressing the vote. The SAVE Act would impose unnecessary barriers to voter registration and disenfranchise eligible citizens - namely women, seniors, low-income voters, and disabled voters. bipartisanpolicy.org/article/five...
I am proud to celebrate this bipartisan win alongside my colleagues Rep. French Hill, @repmaxinewaters.bsky.social, and Rep. Mike Flood. From housing reform to strengthening community investment, bipartisan solutions are what Americans want and deserve. Let’s keep pushing forward🤝
Yesterday’s passage of the Housing for the 21st Century Act marks a critical step forward – but make no mistake, the job is not finished. As we enter negotiations with the Senate and the President, I’ll continue to work with urgency.
Hardworking Americans deserve housing policies that actually meet the needs of today & tomorrow - not yesterday. I’m proud to support the Housing for the 21st Century Act because it provides real solutions, expanding access to safe, affordable housing.
In their Big Ugly Bill, Republicans gave ICE a $75 billion blank check to brutalize and kill the American people while at the same time ripping away health care and nutritional assistance.
Democrats are fighting to lower your costs because hardworking families in #MO05 should not have to pay $1,426 more this year because of Trump’s tariffs and the Big Ugly Law
The president’s tariff taxes and reckless trade policies have driven up input costs and closed vital markets that American farmers depend on. Republicans in Congress could put an end to this failed experiment today—but they refuse to stand up to the president.
🚨 BREAKING: USDA just revised 2025 net farm income DOWN by $25 billion. That's the Trump administration's own data confirming what farmers already knew: the American farm economy is in crisis. But sure, keep telling us it's the "Golden Age" of agriculture.
While Republicans were busy slashing taxes for giant corporations like Amazon—which is laying off tens of thousands of workers—they refused to extend ACA tax credits that help working-class families afford health care. It’s the same trickle-down economics that has failed families for decades.
Republicans’ new tax law delivered for Amazon.com, which saw its U.S. corporate income taxes shrink by more than half in 2025 while its profits climbed.
As AI advances, it’s important that we are preparing the workforce of the future with the skills necessary to succeed. Proud to have secured $1 million in federal funding to support AI and tech programs @rockhurstu.bsky.social for current and incoming students. www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/n...
Every day, the President of the United States calls on Americans to join him in being the worst versions of themselves. I hope that every elected official and American will refuse, and join me in condemning this vile, racist post. We must be better than this.
Last night, Trump posted a video to his social media platform that contained a racist clip showing Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys. It's still up:
A racist screenshot of Michelle and Barack Obama
I’m thrilled to announce I have secured more than $15 million for local projects across #MO05! From replacing the Kentucky Avenue Bridge in Independence to supporting public safety initiatives in Kansas City and Lee’s Summit, these investments will help make our communities safer & more prosperous.
More evidence that the president’s tariff taxes and regressive economic policies are damaging the economy and killing good-paying jobs. It’s time for Republicans to join with Democrats and provide relief to American workers and small businesses.
Layoffs in January were the highest to start a year since 2009, Challenger says
