I'll be on MSNBC at 9:40 this morning central time to discuss the gerrymandering of my congressional district
The corruption, the grift, the mass deportations — Trump and the GOP know it's all coming to an end in November.
Unless they can rig the game beforehand.
That's what this is all about. They want to re-draw the maps to silence voices they don't like hearing.
Memphis isn't going without a fight.
Trump and his Jim Crow Supreme Court want to secure GOP control for the next century by redrawing the maps and silencing our voice.
Well Memphis isn’t going away without a fight.
I’m Nashville today to stand up & fight back against Trump’s corrupt takeover. I will never stop fighting for Memphis.
Be on CNN in 2 minutes
Trump wants the TN State Legislature to take the voice of #Memphis out of Congress, and it looks like Governor Lee is already caving — he called a special legislative session starting tomorrow to review TN's Congressional maps.
I’m not backing down. Join us tonight to learn more. bit.ly/callais2026
The Supreme Court is stripping away the representation that Black Americans fought and died for to help Trump hold onto power in the midterms—drawing new maps to silence voices they don’t like hearing.
They know exactly what they’re doing.
I'm going to stand and fight for #Memphis.
Trump’s Jim Crow Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act—and within hours the GOP was targeting Memphis.
They want to redraw the lines, erase Black voting power, and hold onto power any way they can. I’m not letting that happen without a fight.
Join us today at the National Civil Rights Museum.
Trump and the GOP know they can't win on the merits.
So they're emasculating the Voting Rights Act, changing the maps, and trying to take representation and power away from Black Americans to keep their majority.
That's what this is all about. It's Jim Crow redistricting. We're going to fight it.
I’ll be on CNN Jake Tapper at 6 o’clock Eastern time tonight. We’ll be talking about the redistricting in Tennessee or the possibility thereof because of the Supreme Court gutting of section 2 of the voting rights act

Trump and the GOP are coming for the power of Black voters in Memphis.
They emasculated the VRA—now Trump needs to finish the job by November to save his majority in Congress.
I'm not backing down. My team and I are already in touch with experienced voting rights attorneys to try and stop this.

Trump's SCOTUS just weakened the Voting Rights Act, effectively undoing the work of MLK, John Lewis and so many others.
The VRA has has guaranteed minority voters the right to elect the representatives of their choice for generations.
Representation is power—that's what they want to take away.
King Charles underscored our shared values and long history of mutual aid—and used his platform to reinforce them.
His reminder of NATO, support for Ukraine against a genocidal Russian threat, attention to climate change & protections for people of all faiths was important for the Chamber to hear.

"The US Supreme Court..has calculated that Magna Carta is cited in at least 160 Supreme Court cases since 1789, not least as the foundation of the principle that executive power is subject to checks and balances."
A British King just did a better law interpreting US law than some Justices have...

If you haven't already, it's time to boycott this company. They don't seem to care if we die or get cancer. Let's not care if they make any money.

If I saw this on the beach 🏖️ I’d probably get teary eyed. The scooter club is vibing.
Thank you for all the people who help these dogs live their best life.
Indicting James Comey over a photo of seashells is clearly an abuse of power.
The photo was never a threat, but they know that—we are seeing a vindictive president weaponize the DOJ against his perceived enemies. The First Amendment to the United States Constitution exists to stop exactly this.
While you’re busy working, Republicans in Congress today are targeting the FACE Act so that their most extreme supporters can trample other people’s rights.
We could be cracking down on corrupt pardons—instead, the GOP is busy repealing laws that protect people’s freedoms.
This ends in November.
Had an inspiring time at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis 55th annual Steak N’ Burger Dinner with UofM Hall of Famer and NBA World Champion, Earl Barron and V101’s Stan Bell. High school junior, Kennedy Davis gave a remarkable speech about the impact the Girls Club has had on her life.
