Trump and his billionaire Education Secretary are stealing YOUR taxpayer dollars out of our public schools and classrooms and making it even harder for low- and middle-income families to afford college. Why? So billionaires won't have to pay as much in taxes. thehill.com/homenews/edu...
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Matteo Paz from Pasadena, a Top 40 finalist in the 2025 Regeneron Science Talent Search. He didn’t stop there—he won 1st place and $250,000 for uncovering rare stars and galaxies from a decade of full-sky data. An incredible achievement!

Elon Musk has made clear that he wants to cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. The House Republican partisan funding bill utterly fails to protect these vital benefits. That's why Democrats are united to stop it.
🚨 Reminder! Tomorrow is the FINAL day to apply for three critical grants for those impacted by the Eaton Fires. Don't miss this opportunity—see details below. Thank you for sharing and helping spread the word! For more information, visit: chu.house.gov/EatonFire.
I'm so grateful to all my colleagues from California - from both parties - for signing onto this letter to Congressional leadership to deliver critical disaster assistance to survivors of the Eaton and Palisades Fires. Disaster aid should never be partisan.
New @kff.org polling confirms what @housedemocrats.bsky.social and I have long known: Medicaid is extremely, overwhelmingly popular among the American people. Republicans cutting its funding to pay for tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy do so at their own peril.
Just to appease Trump, an official released reservoir water he KNOWS won't reach Los Angeles and won't do anything to help us fight wildfires. If my Republican colleagues cared about waste, fraud, & abuse, they'd hold hearings: www.washingtonpost.com/climate-envi...
☔️Rain or shine: I’ll fight for our nation's civil servants! ✊ Mass, indiscriminate firings of civil servants mean: 📈higher everyday costs ✂️cut benefits like Social Security & Medicare you've earned 🚨unsafe communities, water, & air ❌worse public services for us ALL
Unions are the bedrock of the American middle class. My @laborcaucus.bsky.social colleagues & I are introducing the #PROAct today to: ✊protect workers’ rights to form & join unions 📮secure free, fair, & safe union elections 📢 hold employers accountable for violating worker rights
DOGE isn't about efficiency. It's about taking a wrecking ball to government so that: ➡️ultra-wealthy tax cheats can hoard more of their money ➡️Trump can outsource essential services - like flight safety & Social Security - to corporations Musk & rich donors run www.propublica.org/article/how-...
Ahead of the 60th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, @repterrisewell.bsky.social, @housedemocrats.bsky.social, & I are introducing the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to fight back and protect all Americans' access to the ballot box. We only need 3 Republicans to join us.
On top of the countless lies, to have an ethnic slur hurled in the middle of the address to the American people is inexcusable. We cannot treat this behavior as normal. I left.

Trump insults the American people by saying, "let's bring back law and order". Among his first acts as president? Pardoning 1500 violent felons involved in the January 6 attacks on our U.S. Capitol and democracy.
There it is. Trump says, "There will be a little disturbance...it won't be much." He's admitting his tariff trade war will raise prices and hurt American businesses. That minor disturbance? A cost increase of $1600 - $2000 for average American families annually.
As Trump takes the podium tonight: ➡️Stock market in free fall ➡️Prices, inflation on the rise ➡️Funding for American people & communities ripped away ➡️Thousands of workers fired without cause, including veterans ➡️Global allies bullied & alienated while enemies embraced
