On March 26th at the ATA briefing @joaquincastrotx.bsky.social asked about Trump’s use of the Alien Enemy Act to deport alleged members of TdA Ratcliffe said he has no assessment that says we’re at war or being invaded by Venezuela. Gabbard fudged www.c-span.org/clip/house-c...
This is very important. US Government intel report directly contrary to what DOJ is saying in court about TdA gang.

Even *if* you accept Stephen Miller’s (textually, historically, and morally indefensible) claim that undocumented immigrants are not entitled to due process, you’d *still* need due process to ensure that the individuals at issue are, in fact, undocumented. His argument fails even on its own terms.
For decades public media has been a free, invaluable source of news, entertainment, and educational programming for Americans. But now Donald Trump wants to shut it down. The reason? He doesn’t like the content. This is what authoritarian governments do.
NEW: The president's executive order instructs the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and other federal agencies “to cease Federal funding for NPR and PBS” and further requires that they work to root out indirect sources of public financing for the news organizations. to.pbs.org/44UvK1B

This is beyond frightening! Democrats in Washington proposed an amendment that prohibits Federal funds being used to deport Americans. Republicans on the Judiciary Committee voted to KILL the amendment. Another extremely dark turn by the GOP/Trump Administration. www.forbes.com/sites/stuart...
Donald Trump relied on compliant ICE officers to obey illegal orders and deport three U.S. citizen children to Honduras. These ICE officials must search their conscience — and we, as Americans, must push back.

The Trump Administration illegally deported, against his mother’s will, a 4-year-old U.S. citizen with Stage four cancer. Tell me – what crime did this child commit? The rights of every American are endangered by this kind of lawless action by our government.
The Administration is working to dismantle agencies, like USAID and the Millennium Challenge Corporation, that were established by law. These actions do not make us safer, stronger, or more prosperous.

Thank you to @maldef.bsky.social for awarding me the Excellence in Government Service Award last week. From standing up for constituent rights, to community outreach and successful litigation, MALDEF has remained a pillar in our community.
Donald Trump has worked relentlessly to dismantle the infrastructure of opportunity in America and used the most unqualified cabinet in our nation's history to do so. The last 100 days prove it.
Every government official who serves our country makes a commitment to uphold the rule of law. These actions are unconstitutional, and each day they go unchecked is another day our democracy and our rights are assaulted.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia and others are rotting in the bowels of these barbaric prisons despite court orders – from the Supreme Court down – that have instructed the return of these individuals.
Today, I introduced a Resolution of Inquiry (ROI) to direct the Trump Administration to provide Congress with all records relating to the removal of individuals in the United States to El Salvador.
