Before yesterday's crash, President Trump:
- Fired the heads of the TSA and the Coast Guard
- Pushed out the head of the FAA — leaving no one in charge
- Gutted a key aviation safety group
- Pushed air traffic controllers to quit as he purges the government
He's putting Americans in danger.

He's not blaming DEI, he's blaming women and non white people.

This week, my team held office hours for seniors at the Alicia Treviño López Senior Center on the Northwest side to share information on new Social Security initiatives and warn against frauds and scams that target seniors. 1/
DID YOU KNOW: Many Texans are eligible to file their taxes for free using the IRS Direct File tools.
Republicans are attacking Direct File to protect the profits of big tax-prep companies. That's not right — and I'll keep working to support your right to file for free.

I am praying for all the families of the victims of the horrific plane and helicopter crash in Washington, DC last night. I’m grateful for the work of the first responders from all over the DMV area who responded quickly.
Today, I met with the San Antonio Coalition for Veterans & Families about their work to meet the urgent needs of our veterans.
I'm proud to represent Military City US & it's an honor to stand up for our veterans like they stood up for us. For help with the VA, please call my office at 210-348-8216
Happy Lunar New Year to everyone celebrating in San Antonio and across the world! I’m wishing prosperity, health and happiness for all.
He was a trailblazer in education and public service and a longtime friend of my family. I’ll always be grateful for his work, and he will be missed.
I’m saddened by the passing of San Antonio’s Dr. Joe Bernal, a former member of the Texas Legislature who was passionate about great public schools and opportunity for all. 1/

My two grandkids are benefiting from the research. Thank you for speaking out!!
As a cancer patient, I’m glad a judge has blocked this illegal executive order. 2/
For cancer patients every day counts. If you or a loved one has cancer you know the importance of research into treatments and cures.
President Trump’s federal funding freeze may have blocked funding for life-saving cancer research. 1/

Just the <checks notes> Chair of the House Appropriations Committee going on the record to say that appropriations statutes “are not a law.”
The United States Congress, ladies and gentlemen.

While President Trump illegally pauses federal funding from Congress, the Senate must not be business as usual.
We do not consent to this lawless power grab.
President Trump has ordered a wide freeze on federal funding - meaning that small business loans, VA housing, & billions of dollars for our schools could all be in jeopardy.
This policy will hurt people’s lives and our economy.
Republican politicians know this but are too scared to say anything.

Jennings: This salute trutherism is outrageous.
Rampell: Do it right now on TV! If you think it’s a normal way to greet people, do it right now on TV. Why won’t you?!

My 7yo heard me say the federal funding freeze may impact school lunch.
Her district provides free meals for all students. She has multiple food allergies, and she receives safe foods every day.
This funding freeze is monstrous and illegal @joaquincastrotx.bsky.social.

If you haven't signed up for Social Security or surviving spouse benefits, I hope you take this opportunity to apply for the benefits you earned. 2/
Important news for San Antonio retirees:
Last year, I helped pass the Social Security Fairness Act to close unfair loopholes that stopped teachers, first responders, and other public servants from getting the full Social Security benefits they earned. 1/
