I'm pushing for my bipartisan Protect Patriot Parents Act to prevent the deportation of servicemembers’ parents.

The fact that three U.S. Marines are fighting to free their dad from ICE custody shows you how un-American this Administration's immigration policies are. Military families, regardless of their background, deserve respect.
Republicans are shutting down the House until September to block a vote on releasing the Epstein files. They’d rather skip work than give you the truth.
This is total BS, and we all know it. What are they trying to hide?
Trump deployed the National Guard to Los Angeles for what troops themselves called a “fake mission.” All part of the President’s anti-immigrant political stunts.
We deserve leaders who use the military to protect us, not to score political points.
This National Park and Recreation Month, we must recommit ourselves to defending our parks so future generations can continue to enjoy them.
Our country is lucky to have so many beautiful National Parks to explore, but they've recently come under pressure from this Administration's disruptive workforce and budget cuts.
Santa Barbara DA Savrnoch is right.
These baseless raids don’t make us safer — they tear families apart. I’ll continue demanding transparency and accountability from ICE.
The Trump cuts are now hitting Cal Poly’s ROTC program, which has commissioned 1,400+ officers since the 1950s. I’m demanding answers from Acting Asst. Secretary of the Army Derrick Anderson because these cuts undermine recruitment and hurt our military readiness.
Let the record show that Republicans turned their backs on the public radio and TV programs Central Coast families rely on for important local news stories, wildfire alerts, and educational programming. Shameful.
Republicans approved President Trump's request to cut over $1 billion from public media such as NPR and PBS. And to be clear, this funding was previously approved by Congress on a bipartisan basis.
Mr. President, standing up against Epstein's crimes and demanding justice isn’t weak — hiding the truth from the American people is weak.
Thanks to Trump's reckless tariff tax policies, prices are going UP. ⬆️ What happened to "lowering costs" on Day One?
Working families will continue paying the price for Trump's flip-flops on tariffs.
ICE’s claims of “doxxing” and “violent mobs” are familiar deflection tactics designed to distort public perception and to evade accountability for their aggressive actions in our community.

This aggressive behavior in a normally quiet part of the Central Coast sparked alarm across our community, prompting a flood of calls and messages to my office from concerned citizens. I went to the scene to seek answers and represent my constituents.

I witnessed agents, in full military gear, fire smoke canisters and other projectiles into a crowd of peaceful civilians. Just before I arrived at the scene, witnesses told me the agents threw a stun grenade into the crowd. Several civilians were injured, including a child.

This is a blatant attempt to distort what occurred in Carpinteria. DHS and ICE conducted their raid using a disturbing and disproportionate level of force, both on the farm workers they were targeting and the peaceful protesters who gathered to defend their neighbors.

Visited the Madre Fire Incident Command with Los Padres National Forest Service, CAL FIRE, and Team 8. Grateful to our incredible first responders for their tireless work.
Thanks to their efforts, the fire is now 77% contained.
As a Member of Congress, I have the legal right to oversee federal operations. Yet, I was denied entry.

Yesterday in Carpinteria, I witnessed ICE agents using unnecessarily aggressive and militarized tactics against local farm workers and peaceful protesters.
It was appalling. This is not how we keep our communities safe.
I went to Casitas Pass Road in Carpinteria today after learning ICE was conducting a militarized raid targeting farm workers. As a Member of Congress, I have the right to conduct oversight, but I was denied entry. Here’s what happened. ⬇️
