Yesterday, I voted YES on a War Powers Resolution to end the reckless war in Iran. Article I of the Constitution is clear: Congress alone has the authority to declare war. It's time Congress reclaims its constitutional role and end a conflict that has created uncertainty for American families.
I led a bipartisan effort with Rep. Fitzpatrick to support victims of sexual assault in public schools. Transparency in these investigations is essential to helping lawmakers evaluate how schools respond to sex-based discrimination.
NEWS: The Energy Bills Relief Act has over 150 cosponsors. House Democrats understand that American families are being burdened with skyrocketing energy prices. The Energy Bills Relief Act is how we can bring costs down while increasing energy reliability.
As a member of Congress, I am proud to secure Community Project Funding for facilities in IL-06 that improve the day-to-day lives of constituents. I recently visited UCP Seguin's community day site to continue to learn how Congress can better support the disability community and caregivers.
Last week, I met with Mayor Kyle Hastings, Village Administrator Brian O’Neill and members of the Orland Hills Public Works Commission to discuss local projects, community initiatives, and priorities for the village.
I had a great time welcoming our 2026 STEM Scholars and their families for this year’s kickoff! Looking forward to a great summer filled with learning and exploration.
Pride Month is a celebration of authenticity, community, and resilience. As your representative, I proudly stand with LGBTQI+ Americans in IL-06 and across the country.
Come celebrate talented and creative students from across IL-06! You are invited to join my office for this year's Congressional Art Competition Soiree at the Willowbrook Community Resource Center on Sunday, June 28.
I was thrilled to return to Brookdale Lisle for an engaging conversation with residents. I shared an update on what’s happening in DC before opening the floor to a Q&A discussion. I am thankful to the residents for bringing such sharp insight and vital perspectives to the table.
I joined newly-appointed President and CEO Lanita Higgs-Jackson and the team at Pillars Community Health in La Grange Park to tour their health center and discuss federal funding challenges, including harmful reductions to Medicaid.
Earlier this week, I checked out Wheaton Drama, a volunteer-based community theater. I learned about their history, partnerships with local schools, and their inclusive efforts to reach the entire community.
I had the incredible opportunity to visit Westview Hills Middle School in Willowbrook to speak with 7th- and 8th-grade students. We enjoyed a thoughtful conversation about civic engagement, public service, and the issues they care most about.
I had the honor to speak at the American Legion Post 80 Memorial Day Service in Downers Grove. We remembered and honored the brave servicemembers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Their courage will never be forgotten.
Today, I joined the Westmont Fire Department, Mayor Nero, and community members for the groundbreaking ceremony of Fire Station 183. The Westmont Fire Department responds to 5,000 calls per year, and the new station will expand the department’s ability to efficiently address emergencies.
A family in Palos Park was trying to settle their mother’s estate with the Department of the Treasury. After waiting nearly 10 months, they reached out to my office and my team was able to step in and advocate on their behalf. Are you having trouble with a federal agency? Reach out to my office.
The president was convicted of falsifying business records. Now his wealth is surging through crypto ventures and Republicans won’t say whether sanctioned actors are funneling money through them. If this were a Democrat,Republicans would already be demanding hearings. The silence says everything.
