Don’t let them fool you. A resolution moved to be “brought up later” or “sent to committee for further work” won’t actually be brought back up by Republican Leadership.
This is purely a procedural tool to try and bury the issue. 5/
Once I raise my resolution, Republican Leadership is expected to take some sort of procedural action – likely either a motion to table or a motion to refer – which is a tool used to essentially kill the resolution. 4/
If they do not, I’ll raise my resolution to force the release of the Gaetz Report on the House Floor during the 4:45 PM ET vote series. 3/
First and foremost, the House Ethics Committee is expected to meet shortly and could release the report themselves.
