As I said on @theweekendmsnbc.bsky.social, it remains important to the integrity of the House of Representatives that we not let the Gaetz report be swept under the rug. I'm pushing forward with my resolution to force a House vote on releasing the Gaetz report.
This morning, I joined community leaders at the groundbreaking for the new 294 interchange in Justice. This project is a great example of state and federal funding working to attract new businesses, create job opportunities, and reduce frustrating traffic bottlenecks in southwestern Cook County.

Today is Education Support Professionals Day. Last year, I was proud to reintroduce the Education Support Professionals and School Support Staff Family Leave Act. This legislation would help expand the FMLA and ensure it covers education support professionals.

🚨 NEWS: I led nearly 100 House Democrats in a letter urging the House Ethics Committee to release the Gaetz report immediately. This information must be made available for the Senate to provide its constitutionally required advice and consent.
Last month, I visited Advocate Christ Medical Center and Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn. I enjoyed learning about how they use telehealth and Hospital at Home waivers.

When Chris Wright testified in a Financial Services Committee hearing earlier this year, his willingness to deny science was alarming. To nominate him as Secretary of Energy is to fulfill the dreams of every fossil fuel company that hopes to boost its profits by raising energy costs for Americans.
