We are in a cost of living crisis. Freezing programs that help our communities & farmers will push families deeper into crisis.
I promise to keep fighting for our hardworking farmers and families, I refuse to let them pay for the tax cuts of billionaires.

We grew up on Sesame Street. We learned valuable life lessons from Arthur. We discovered new sounds at a Tiny Desk.
These aren’t just programs. They’re all pieces of who we are.
Losing @pbs.org and @npr.org would mean losing that. We have to fight to keep them alive.
The women and men of FEMA are there for us when disaster strikes.
Watch my hearing with @democrats-appropriations.house.gov and FEMA today at 2 PM as we work to fund the programs that ensure every community in America is as resilient as possible ➡ youtu.be/7gXUHk-JQLA
New England farmers are being hit hard by high costs & extreme weather wiping out entire farms.
I created the $220 million Farm Recovery and Support Block Grant to help them recover. I thank Secretary Rollins for committing to act by the end of the month.
We must see results.
As @democrats-appropriations.house.gov begin work on the 2026 Army budget, join us as we hear from Army Sec. Daniel Driscoll on how Congress can support our troops—and the defense industry back home in Connecticut: youtu.be/-KWpSPKMiMI
Massive staff reductions at the Department of Energy, funding freezes, & reneging on promises made to American families do not create efficiency.
It does not save Americans money. It creates confusion, jeopardizes national security, & risks economic catastrophe. Learn more: youtu.be/DW26fY2Tjmg
Our farmers, ranchers, and rural communities feed America. We must provide these communities with the resources to succeed.
Join me & @AppropsDems as we review @USDA’s budget now: youtu.be/f10geMYJ0tw
Thank you, Will, for championing the cause of small farmers nationwide! Your advocacy inspired my Farm Recovery & Support Block Grant to help farmers bounce back from local disasters.
Now it’s on the Administration to get these funds out fast and without hurdles.
Kristi Noem tried to dodge accountability for her & President Trump’s reckless plan to shut down FEMA.
Her problem? I knew she was going to go there.
The truth is, there was no partisan discrimination. Just another pretend excuse to end disaster relief when it’s needed most.
Americans are struggling with the cost of living, while Trump promotes “meme coins” that enrich his family business, raking in billions from untraceable foreign buyers.
The. Most. Corrupt. Administration. In. History.
President Trump and @Sec_Noem want to take from disaster relief funds to give bigger tax breaks to billionaires like Elon Musk.
Join @AppropsDems as we fight to ensure all our communities are protected from disasters & from this dangerous agenda: youtu.be/QKhi_XefYdA
President Trump & @USTreasury Secretary Scott Bessent aren't focused on addressing the cost-of-living crisis. They are making it worse.
Join me at 10am to investigate how the Trump administration plans to address hardworking Americans' economic concerns.⬇️

I stand with the hardworking members of IAM Locals 1746 & 700 who have voted to strike. These highly skilled workers help power one of Connecticut’s most critical industries.
I'm hopeful an agreement can be reached that reflects the immense value these workers bring.
Since 1965, Head Start has helped millions of families by providing high-quality early childhood education.
Head Start supports families with child development and learning. Providing support to hardworking families when it matters most, during a child’s early years.
Today, I stood with parents and advocates to call for protecting Head Start from Republican attacks.
This program gives kids a strong start in life – supporting parents, nurturing young minds, and setting children up for success.
We cannot let Republicans gut it.
Always grateful to speak with Jennifer Garner & @savethechildren.org about the critical need to protect programs like Head Start, SNAP, & WIC.
Cutting funding for these lifelines only hurts our hardworking families & vulnerable communities. Thank you for joining us in this fight.
The people have spoken. Congrats to Modern Apizza in New Haven for winning the Connecticut Pizza Capital Trail Contest!
I'm so grateful to the State of Connecticut who organized this contest to showcase the amazing pizza Connecticut’s has! More here: bit.ly/4m6KxN4
The Administration is slashing $1,000,000,000 in funding that helps schools support our kids mental health during this gun violence epidemic.
Removing this support abandons our children & teachers by stripping these resources that keep our kids’ safe.
Today, @repjohnlarson.govpeeps.us, @repdwightevans.bsky.social, Rep. Lois Frankel,& I are continuing to push the Trump Administration to reinstate a reasonable 10% claw back of monthly benefits, not their drastic 50 percent.
We are in a cost of living crisis. We can't rip money away from seniors.
This month, we honor the remarkable contributions of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, & Pacific Islanders.
Their achievements in the arts, sciences, & countless other fields strengthen our nation. Let's celebrate & uplift AANHPI communities today & every day of the year!
