Trump’s tariffs are causing chaos & constant uncertainty, meaning fewer tourists from Canada supporting WA businesses. The president promised a strong economy, but he’s directly hurting our state.

UPDATE: After the entire delegation called on President Trump to approve an expedited Emergency Declaration for the historic flooding the state is facing, FEMA granted WA’s request.
Republicans are letting ACA tax credits expire, forcing massive health care price hikes on WA families. This includes Mitch & his wife from Bothell, whose monthly premiums are set to rise from $520 to nearly $2,200 in January.

Communities across WA state are being battered by devastating storms & flooding.
I led our entire Congressional delegation—Democrats and Republicans—in requesting that President Trump approve an expedited Emergency Declaration for this disaster.
Time is of the essence.
Senate Republicans voted to allow a massive increase in health care bills starting in January. One clear solution to help address the Republican health care crisis is to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits so millions of families don’t lose their health care next year.
Trump brags about his “A+++++” economy. Meanwhile, hardworking families are facing higher prices, tighter budgets, & fewer opportunities.
Trump’s tariffs are a tax on families & small businesses. Retailers can’t absorb the costs forever. We need policies that will lower costs, not chaotic tariffs that raise prices at the checkout line.
The November Olympic Pipeline leak released at least 2,300 gallons of fuel, threatening water, farms, wildlife, public health, & disrupted air travel at Sea-Tac.
I’m demanding answers & accountability from BP. Our communities deserve safety & transparency.

🚨Heads-up, Snohomish County.
Heavy rain from the current atmospheric river has triggered multiple road closures. Check the live road-closure map for updates.
Congratulations to Archbishop Murphy’s Wildcats on capturing their first state football title since 2016! A well-earned win that reflects the hard work of these student-athletes, coaches, & supporters across our community. Way to represent WA-01! 🏈🏆
Farmers across the country are losing billions of dollars because of Trump’s tariffs & Americans are paying more for food. This will not lower operating costs or help WA agriculture exports. Farmers want certainty, not a taxpayer-funded handout.
Home energy bills are up 13% under Trump because of his chaotic policies. Families are paying more & falling behind on their bills, racking up hundreds of dollars in utility debt.

Atmospheric river conditions mean flooding is possible across WA-01. Avoid flooded roads, prepare to move to higher ground if needed, & monitor local alerts. We’re keeping a close eye on conditions & sharing updates as things change.
Excited to announce Isabella Li, Hiya Pandey, and Anya Mehta from Redmond High School as this year’s winners of the Congressional App Challenge from WA-01.
Their app - AnemoDx - will help people with anemia more easily track their hemoglobin levels & get medical attention when they need it.
Republicans have been saying this for 15 years & have only voted to take away health care from millions of Americans during that time.
The Pentagon's internal watchdog confirms Sec. Hegseth directly put U.S. servicemembers & intelligence at risk by sending military plans in an unsecured group chat.
He cannot be trusted to lead the Pentagon & should resign immediately.

BREAKING: All House Democrats have signed our discharge petition to extend the ACA tax credits.
That makes 214.
We can protect health care and lower costs — if only 4 Republicans will join us.
The Trump admin is suing WA for refusing to turn over our entire voter database, which includes names, birthdates, and SSNs.
This is sensitive personal information & it should be protected!

Living organ donors give the incredible gift of life, but they incur bills for lost wages, travel expenses, & child care.
We need to better support living donors & that’s why we need to pass legislation I’ve introduced that would remove some of these barriers.
