Under Trump & Congressional Republicans’ #ReverseRobinHood budget, not only would more than 300,000 Pennsylvanians lose their health care coverage, but health care centers across our commonwealth would be even more strained.   And all for what? More tax cuts for the GOP’s billionaire donor friends.
Hearing Ramond’s story today was incredibly inspiring to me and everyone listening, and I’m proud to represent him in Congress! We must continue to support and uplift former & current foster youth and hear their stories so that we can learn how to improve this important system.
At today’s Ways and Means Work and Welfare Subcommittee hearing, my constituent, Ramond Nelson, talked about his lived experience in the foster care system and with community building programs like Foster Club. Listen below to his testimony👇🏾
UPDATE: The House Fold’Em Caucus (@freedomcaucus) didn’t use its leverage - caved again! Same for the Republican reps who recently begged senators to fix their late-night rush job and save job-creating clean-energy tax credits:
$1,000,000,000 in mystery spending?! The House Fold’Em Caucus (the Freedom Caucus) has LEVERAGE when Republicans vote this week on fixing their late-night rush job. Prediction: HFC will cave like always & spend another week complaining.
I'm joining with @usrepkathycastor.bsky.social, @baldwin.senate.gov & @shaheen.senate.gov to introduce legislation to restore funding to this key program, ensuring millions of Americans can easily find affordable health care coverage.
The ACA Navigators program provides free, objective, expert advice and information to Americans in red, purple and blue states alike. But despite its continued success, earlier this year President Trump slashed this program’s funding by 90%.
President Trump is trying to gut the Affordable Care Act and cut Navigator funding by 90 percent, but I am fighting back with @repdwightevans.bsky.social @baldwin.senate.gov & @shaheen.senate.gov. www.nbcnews.com/politics/tru...
While this bill is in the Senate’s hands, I'll continue to fight like hell against Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans’ disastrous budget that slashes Medicaid and SNAP just to give more tax breaks to the rich. If it comes back to the House for another vote, I’ll be voting NO again!
Medicaid funding is essential for nursing homes across PA, allowing them to provide high-quality care to one of our most vulnerable populations. This week I met with PHCA to discuss how Republicans’ #ReverseRobinHood budget would harm care for seniors across our city, commonwealth, and country.

The #EqualPayAct was signed into law 62 years ago, YET women still make 75 cents for every dollar men make. This is outrageous- it's far past time to strengthen the law & close the pay gap. I’m proud to support the Paycheck Fairness Act to ensure all Americans receive #EqualPayForEqualWork.
Equal Pay for Equal Work
To get serious about public safety, the Trump administration should shift immigration enforcement priorities back to efforts focused on people credibly suspected of involvement with violent crime. Trying to make a reported quota is wrong, and it undercuts actually putting public safety first. (4/4)
