I have worked with my colleagues on the PFAS Task Force to reduce Americans' exposure to forever chemicals. It's a bipartisan issue—in fact, I worked with EPA Administrator Zeldin on the PFAS Task Force when he was a member of the House. (2/3)

PFAS chemicals pose direct threats to our health, including in #TX07, where water utilities in both Harris County and Fort Bend County have reported PFAS chemicals exceeding the federal standard. (1/3)
The corruption and abuse is staggering, even for this administration.
I introduced the No Presidential Self-Serving Lawsuits Act to ensure that no president can use the power of the office to turn the courts and the Treasury into a personal rewards program for political allies. (2/2)
The President brought a lawsuit against the U.S., appointed his personal lawyer to the DOJ, and "settled" it by creating a nearly $2 billion slush fund of our tax money to hand out to his supporters without oversight, disclosure, or guardrails. (1/2)
#OTD in 1919, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the 19th Amendment. It's particularly important to remember now, as some in power seek to roll back the rights Americans have fought so hard to secure, including the right to vote. Progress takes persistence, and must be affirmatively preserved.

Never in American history has a President pursued corruption this brazenly or on such a colossal scale.

Republicans just passed a Don't Say Trans bill that would also require schools to out trans students in certain situations, even if doing so would put them in physical danger.

Congress must end this disastrous war with Iran.
Either CBP Commissioner Scott was lying or was uninformed about activities within his own agency when he said last week that there wouldn't be a border wall at BBNP. Either way, it's a problem.
As I said last week: Texans must be vigilant, make some noise, and resist this attack on our public lands.
Hate and bigotry have no place here. We must all do our part to demonstrate the commitment to community and friendship that the Center embodies, and speak out against the hate directed at our Muslim and Jewish neighbors in this case and at all other times. [2/2]
The Ismaili Center in #TX07 welcomes all as part of its commitment to fostering understanding among diverse peoples, communities, and faiths. The reported threats to the Center and to all those who gather there does not represent the values of our community. [1/2]

"Don't believe this claim that if Donald Trump hadn't launched this ridiculous & failed war in the Middle East, Iran would have had a nuclear weapon.
He's made it more likely that will happen & made us have to work harder to prevent that from happening."

The idea that even one violent criminal who attacked our democracy would get a dime of taxpayer money is sickening.
If anyone should be compensated, it should be the police who were savagely attacked on January 6th.
Trump is only in it for himself and his allies.

Trump and his allies are trying to suppress voters, particularly Black Americans, and deny fair representation in Congress. Right now, they are redrawing maps and gerrymandering communities ahead of the midterms.
This is an attack on democracy, and we must continue pushing back.

Donald Trump is an authoritarian destroying our representative democracy just for the glorification of his massive ego, and we're all paying an enormous price for it.

Trump spent the morning talking about his ballroom.
You know what he didn’t tell us? How he’s going to lower the cost of living.

Trump is using his Department of Justice—which is supposed to belong to the people—to give himself, his family, and his companies a free pass.
Why won't he fight for you like he fights for himself?
FLASH: DOJ expands settlement in Trump-IRS leak suit to cover audits of all tax returns filed by Trump, family members, companies and trusts. Waiver of IRS' claims contained in addendum signed by AAG Blanche that was not in agreement released Monday www.politico.com/news/2026/05...
The CDC is our first line of response for disease outbreaks. Congressional Republicans' attacks on our public health system, including critical employees, will cost lives. [2/2]
Dr. Hotez's work in global health represents the best of our community. Although he predicts that the hantavirus outbreak won't be a cause for worry, it serves as a reminder that the U.S. is not prepared for a fast-spreading pandemic. [1/2]
