On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @sylviagarcia.house.gov highlights how Republican cuts to SNAP in the One, Big Ugly Bill will strain our food banks and leave families in our communities behind.
Federal employees work for the American people - not one single president's agenda.
From the VA to the Social Security office, the Trump Administration should spend less time harassing these patriots.
We must work tirelessly to remove the cancer of hate and antisemitism from our body politic. It threatens us all.
I am horrified by the news of a terror attack at the Boulder Run for Their Lives event tonight in support of the hostages kidnapped on Oct. 7.
This display of violence and antisemitism is unacceptable and endangers Jews in America, Israel, & around the world. I am monitoring this situation closely.
During this Pride Month, I am celebrating and reflecting on the courage and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community.
Much has been accomplished, and much is in peril - we must stand together to continue to fight for civil rights and against discrimination across America.
Qualification for the civil service should be determined by skill and integrity, not loyalty to a president, party, or administration.
These essay questions exemplify Trump’s efforts to return to a spoils system, undermining the government’s ability to meet the needs of the American people.
Despite claims of transparency, this Administration continues to dodge and obfuscate. Federal employees live in a cycle of trauma: illegally fired, rehired, and illegally fired again.
I led over 30 Dems in calling on the GAO to investigate these attacks.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of my dear friend, former Congressman Charles Rangel.
A veteran, a trailblazer in the Ways & Means Committee, & founding member of the #BlackCaucus, Charlie’s work to ensure justice & opportunity for all will continue to impact & inspire many in Harlem & beyond.

On Memorial Day, @crow.house.gov encourages all Americans to recognize and honor the sacrifice of the men and women who fought and died for our country and all it represents.
This #MemorialDay, I join to honor the courageous service members who gave their lives to protect their fellow Americans & preserve the Republic.
Let us continue to tend to & stand up for our veterans, democracy, & military families with the same devotion displayed by the heroes we honor today.
House Republicans forced through legislation that makes health care unaffordable for millions. As Trump's reckless tariffs raise costs, the number of uninsured Americans will rise too.
Democrats will keep opposing these efforts to jeopardize Americans’ health care and raise costs.

House Democrats spent all night on the House Floor fighting against the GOP Tax Scam that takes away health care and school meals from Americans to give billionaires and big corporations a tax break.
@sarajacobs.house.gov breaks down what this bill means in today’s Democratic Daily Download.
Trump's acceptance of a luxury jet from Qatar is an abuse of power, violates our Constitution, defies our laws, and undermines our national security.
Once again, Trump shows that he views the presidency as a tool to enrich himself, his family, and friends.
Republicans betrayed the American people by passing this abhorrent legislation. They voted to take health care from 13.7 million people, and they have the audacity to call it "beautiful."
What a sad day.
Adding $3.3 trillion in debt over ten years is not fiscal responsibility. Giving tax breaks to the wealthy while cutting Medicaid is not fiscal responsibility. The GOP Tax Scam is not sound fiscal policy.
Republicans began marking up their tax scam at 1 AM. They are now voting to send it to the Floor at 11 PM — all without seeing the light of day.
This bill will cut health care for nearly 14 million Americans, decimate SNAP, and explode the deficit.
It's a sad day for America.
Donald Trump & GOP leaders are trying to cut health care for almost 14 million people with their tax scam. Here's more from my conversation on the Julie Mason Show about the consequences of this irresponsible policy. www.siriusxm.com/clips/clip/f...
I am deeply saddened by the passing of my dear friend, Gerry Connolly. A fierce advocate for #VA11, federal employees, & millions around the world, he lived a remarkable life of service.
It was an honor to serve with Gerry, & I pray for his family as they grieve this terrible loss – America’s loss.
