The Trump Administration has its sights on hundreds of thousands of federal employees in every agency and state in America.
Federal workers are patriots; when you villainize federal workers, you turn the American people into victims.
Thank you to all who tuned into last night's Virtual Federal Worker Forum with Prince George's County Council Member Wala Blegay.
We will continue to stand up for federal employees and provide guidance, community, and resources in these turbulent times.

I was glad to join Comptroller Brooke Lierman to provide an update on Maryland's participation in the IRS Direct File Program.
I look forward to continuing our work together to expand the program for our state.
The Trump Administration has made it clear that they don't care about the hardworking patriots who make our government function efficiently For The People.
As Republicans work to renew tax breaks for the wealthy, Democrats & I will take every measure necessary to stop them.
Tune in now as I join Comptroller Brooke E. Lierman
to provide an update on Maryland's participation in the
IRS Direct File Program.
Looking forward to discussing how Marylanders can take advantage of this free and secure filing option this tax season.

I will continue standing against these attacks on our Veterans and working to protect services performed by and for hard-working Americans.
Today I met with Albert Ostering, an #MD05 Veteran whose decade of civil service was abruptly ended by the Trump Administration's mass termination of federal employees.
We must continue working to counter these attacks on federal workers and their ability to serve the American people.
The Trump Administration's firing of over 1,000 federal employees in the National Parks Service puts further strain on critical operations at national parks across Maryland, which would hinder Americans' ability to access and enjoy these public lands.

Trump and Musk have fired nearly 6,000 veterans, who make up about 30% of the federal workforce.
This is no way to treat those who serve our country. Democrats will continue working to take care of our Veterans.
While the federal workforce is under attack, Republicans want to gut federal education programs that ensure our children receive a fair shot and equal treatment under the law.
Join me and House Appropriations Democrats today:
We will continue standing with federal employees and working together to protect them and the critical services they provide to the American people.
Today I joined Democratic Members of the Maryland Congressional Delegation, leaders from federal employee groups, and Rob Shriver and @skyeperryman.bsky.social of @democracyforward.org to highlight efforts to combat the Trump Administration's illegal attacks on the federal workforce.
By standing with our adversaries instead of our allies, the Trump Administration makes America look weak and invites war criminals, fascists, and dictators to broaden their assault on democracy, human rights, and international law.

Today I joined Members of the Ukraine Caucus to mark three years since Russia's brutal, criminal invasion of Ukraine. We must never forget that Russia started this war and we need to ensure a Ukrainian victory to protect democracy & the free world.

Trump said he'd "love and cherish" Medicaid.
Hours later, he endorsed the House Republican budget that cuts Medicaid by *hundreds of billions of dollars.*
Republicans are betraying the middle class so they can give trillions in tax giveaways to the ultra-rich.
For 50 years, the Congressional Budget Office has played a critical, nonpartisan role informing Congress on the effectiveness of economic and budget policy.
Congratulations to the dedicated staff who’ve ably served its ten directors over the last five decades as they celebrate this anniversary.
Join me in wishing my dear friend Senator Angela Alsobrooks a happy birthday.
I am grateful for your principled leadership and your unwavering commitment to Maryland. I look forward to you continuing to serve the people of our state in the years to come.
