Republicans are trying to rescind funding for NPR and PBS stations that millions of Americans rely on for free, local, and sometimes life-saving news. Cutting access to critical information, educational programming, and other resources, this package would abandon the American public.
SCOTUS just gave Trump the green light to go even further in his all-out assault on public education. Without explaining its decision, the Court ok’d Trump firing half the staff at @usedgov.bsky.social - gutting the department responsible for ensuring every kid can get a quality education.
The Supreme Court agreed to allow the Trump administration to proceed with dismantling the Education Department by firing thousands of workers. trib.al/RDmgOEa

Trump's rescissions package is another attempt to institutionalize his cruelty in the name of improving "government efficiency." His cuts to foreign aid will result in preventable deaths, abandon allies & partners, and further unravel global health, stability, & U.S. leadership.
Over the next few years, millions of people will be stripped of their health care. Don't be fooled, this is Republicans' doing. From higher insurance premiums, to rural hospital closures, this bill will hurt EVERYONE, not just those on Medicaid.
Whether it pays for urgent doctors visits or Grandma's nursing home, Medicaid is a lifeline for many. Trump's Big Ugly Bill will put American lives at stake. It's time to wake up and smell the fresh, Republican betrayal.
Republicans' tax bill will hurt millions of hardworking Americans, limiting access to health care and food, weakening public schools, raising energy costs, and more. Disgraceful. The fight isn't over and Democrats will fight like hell to protect our communities.
Millions of people will lose their health insurance. Rural hospitals will close. Families will lose access to SNAP benefits. Electric bills and health care costs will go up. People will lose their jobs. This will be Republicans' legacy.
On this Independence Day, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting our democracy and hard-won freedoms. American independence means no kings, power that belong to the people, and freedom for all.
From threatening denaturalization, to praising a detention center nicknamed "Alligator Alcatraz," Trump continues to dehumanize the immigrant community, stoking hate and threatening lives. Evil and sickening.
The House just passed this disgrace of a bill. Republicans are selling out their constituents to do Donald Trump's bidding. Don't be fooled. This bill was passed with the wealthy in mind, and the wealthy only.
Republicans are boasting that they're keeping promises to Americans by passing this bill. It seems they MUST have promised to rip away health care, slash jobs, eliminate energy savings, hike health care premiums, cut SNAP benefits, and weaken public schools, right? ...right?
Yet another attack on our students and the rule of law. All the while, Republicans are also working to advance a bill that would further undermine public education. Trump's priority is the wealthy, and millions of students will suffer because of it.
The Trump administration declined to release nearly $7 billion in school funding that helps pay for after-school programs and other services. https://trib.al/CIBxpaX
Republicans are trying to create a "stabilization fund" for rural hospitals to counteract the devastating cuts to Medicaid in their tax bill. Let’s be clear, they're trying to solve a problem they’re creating.
We shouldn't even be considering Emil Bove's nomination to serve as a federal judge. Bove oversaw prosecutors who withheld documents, advocated for disregarding court orders, and has a record of abusive management—he is unfit to serve or to supervise.
As AI usage surges & summer heat intensifies, demand for energy is going up... & so are energy bills. Clean energy = cheap energy, but Trump’s Department of Energy budget guts clean energy investments. When Republicans cut renewable energy projects, American families suffer.
As Republicans brag about tax cuts in their budget bill, they are hiding the big picture, that this bill would push our country further into debt. This bill will mortgage your children's, grandchildren's, and their children's futures. All to give the wealthy even more tax breaks.
Senate Republicans released their version of the tax bill which has—you guessed it: Even DEEPER cuts to Medicaid. Yet again, Republicans are proving they do not care about you. This bill cannot pass.
ICE is wreaking havoc on immigrant communities, separating families and stoking fear. Make no mistake, these ICE raids were never about the safety of our country, but furthering a cruel, racist agenda. This is Trump's America.
