I joined @theweeknightmsnbc.bsky.social after being denied a visit with Kilmar Abrego Garcia. He was illegally deported without due process. That’s not justice — it’s a betrayal. His family deserves better.

I was honored to present the Laurel HS Boys Basketball Team & coaches with a Congressional Citation in recognition of their outstanding achievement.🏀Congratulations on winning your second Maryland Class 4A state championship! Well done, Spartans!
My thoughts and prayers are with the family, staff, friends, and all the lives that The Honorable Congressman Charles Rangel touched. 🙏🏾
See my statement below:
Today, I was denied access to seeing my constituent, Mr. Kilmar Abrego Garcia. If there is nothing to hide, cut the crap. Let his lawyer and I check on him.
This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Let us remember their courage, their service, and the freedoms they preserved for us all. #MemorialDay #HonorAndRemember
See my statement on the 5th anniversary of the killing of George Floyd.
Today, we remember George Floyd and the urgent call for justice his death ignited. That’s why I am proudly reintroducing the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act—to end excessive force, increase accountability, and build trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Trump tried to shut down the Department of Education on his own. House Democrats fought back and the court agreed. Our amicus brief was cited multiple times in today’s ruling. Congress has a say, and Judge Joun made that clear.
This is a win for democracy and the rule of law.
Antisemitism has no place in our society. It is a scourge that must be confronted boldly and consistently—here at home and around the world.
My prayers are with the victims, their families, and all those impacted by this senseless act of hate.🙏🏽
See my statement below on the big ugly bill ⬇️
Discrimination based on race, gender, or religion has no place in our society—but neither do baseless accusations. FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr’s investigation into DEI programs at companies like Disney and Comcast must be grounded in facts, not politics. Real accountability requires real evidence.
On @cspanwj.bsky.social, I called out House GOP’s reckless budget proposal that slashes nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid, puts school lunches on the chopping block, & threatens healthcare for millions, all to fund more tax breaks for the 1%. @housedemocrats.bsky.social are united in fighting back.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, staff, and all grieving this tremendous loss. Congressman Connolly's life and leadership will continue to inspire all who are privileged to serve.🙏🏽
"It doesn't get much bigger than this, if it's a Constitutional violation with respect to the Emouluments Clause, somebody needs to be looking at this NOW."
I questioned the SEC Chair about President Trump's $TRUMP meme coin.
The SEC must act decisively to investigate.
Democracy is under attack when court orders are ignored & people are deported without due process. Kilmar Abrego Garcia was wrongfully removed to El Salvador in blatant violation of federal protections. Justice & due process aren’t optional—they’re the foundation of our democracy.
This administration is making it harder for Americans to learn their history—slashing museum budgets, gutting the Institute of Museum and Library Services, & defunding public broadcasting. The president does not get to decide what belongs in a museum, a library or what our children learn in school.
Last week, I stood outside with our community in front of the Greenbelt Courthouse, demanding justice for Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was wrongfully deported. The Supreme Court has ruled his deportation illegal, yet the fight continues. We will not rest until he is brought home. #BringHimHome
I joined The Weeknight on MSNBc to discuss the challenges @housedemocrats.bsky.social are currently facing. The battle is twofold. We must:
1. Ensure the president follows Supreme Court orders.
2: Confront the erosion of judicial authority.
Accountability at all levels is non-negotiable.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
