Before I ran for Congress, I spent a lot of time working in public schools. What I witnessed was some of our most disadvantaged students getting the help they need because of funding and protections from the U.S. Department of Education. (2/5)
The Supreme Court is effectively allowing the Administration to shutter the Department of Education without Congressional approval. This move is about taking money from our most at-risk students so Trump can reward his wealthy friends with tax breaks. It’s disgusting (1/5)

That’s why I’ve joined 150 House colleagues in demanding that the Administration release the almost $7 billion of education funding they’re holding up. We should be investing in our students’ futures, not cutting it to pay for billionaire tax breaks.
🚨The Administration has paused over $60M in federal funding for Nevada schools.
This impacts 51 employees and over $30 million in CCSD, and threatens critical programs like teacher mentorship and retention, and student support like addressing chronic absenteeism.
As a global leader in imaging technology, they have seen the negative impacts of sweeping tariffs on parts required to build important pieces, like medical imaging to cargo screening.
It was great to tour Varex Imaging Corp., an international X-Ray business with a manufacturing facility right here in Las Vegas.
I’ll continue to fight in Congress to ensure these lands get the support they deserve.
Today is the 25th anniversary of the National Conservation Lands System!
Whether I’m in Red Rock Canyon or Avi Kwa Ame National Monument, I’m grateful for Nevada’s beautiful, historic landscapes and the dedicated advocates and public servants that care for them.
80% of the Republican tax cuts go to the wealthiest 20% of Americans. The rich will get richer, while working families get screwed. It’s completely unfair (3/3) ⬇️

They are offering a TEMPORARY “deduction” that expires in 2028. The tax break is also only for seniors over 65 and for individuals making $75k or less and couples making $150k or less. At the same time, Republicans are giving massive PERMANENT tax breaks to the richest Americans. (2/3)
The Republican budget bill does NOT eliminate taxes on Social Security. 🧵 (1/3)
I held a roundtable discussion with local leaders in law, business, and advocacy to explore ways we can strengthen partnerships that promote economic opportunity, justice, and community development.
❌ 25,000 Nevada jobs lost in the energy sector.
❌ Massive tax breaks for the wealthy (80% of the Republican tax cuts go to the wealthiest 20% of Americans).
❌ Largest cuts to health care coverage in U.S. history.
❌ $4 to $6 trillion added to the national debt.
The Republican budget bill that was just signed into law is a bad deal for Nevada and America. The rich will get richer while working families get screwed.
Thank you to the Las Vegas Korean American Association and the Korean Veterans Association Southwest USA for inviting me to speak.
Today, I was honored to commemorate 75 years since the outset of the Korean War. Millions of brave men and women, like my father, defended democracy and fought to stop the spread of communist aggression.
Before Congress, I led the non-profit Communities in Schools of Nevada and After-School All Stars and saw first-hand how life-changing after-school programs can be for kids. But now, the Administration is stealing these funds to turn around and give tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans.
This is horrifying for Nevada schools.
The Administration has frozen $61.2 million in funds for Nevada that pay for after-school and summer programs, and other services.
