Republicans are saying, after trillions in tax cuts for billionaires, there's nothing left for our kids. Sorry! They’re feeding Big Bird to the fat cats.   Maybe this isn't quite how Sesame Street would say it, but America knows that message is brought to you by the letters “B” and “S”
Maybe cutting PBS and getting our kids hooked on brainrot TV is part of the Republican plan. After all, if our kids watch PBS, they might learn to count! And if our kids learn to count, how will Republicans ever convince anyone that trillions of dollars in tax cuts are free?
I spoke to my colleagues today and urged them to reject President Trump's request to codify DOGE cuts. Congress must decide how best to spend taxpayer dollars—not take orders from President Trump and Russ Vought.
We rely on the National Weather Service to prepare for natural disasters—not only that, our entire economy hinges on accurate forecasting. I joined @schatz.bsky.social in supporting an amendment to protect NWS staffing from Trump's arbitrary mass layoffs. Republicans blocked it.
The bipartisan funding bills we've drafted in the Senate so far are a firm rejection of the Trump administration's budget cuts & extreme policy demands. I told just about every Trump cabinet secretary I'd rip up the President's budget request, and that's exactly what I'm doing.
I had some questions for my Republican colleagues today. We have a record-breaking number of measles cases in America. Where is our public hearing on this crisis? RFK Jr. fired the entire CDC vaccine advisory panel and replaced them with unvetted vaccine skeptics. Will Republicans call a hearing?
Here was my view this morning. These incredible kids traveled all the way to the United States Capitol from across the country to make their voices heard. I let them know I heard them loud and clear: I’ll be fighting to support the research and investment we need to cure Type 1 Diabetes.
The Trump administration thinks we should pull grandma out of the nursing home to have her work on a farm. THAT'S who's losing Medicaid. And I promise you, they will not fill the jobs left by immigrant farmworkers who this administration is deporting.

My dad was a Purple Heart Veteran, and I'll say right now, treating any veteran like this is a disgrace. My Republican colleagues need to ask themselves: Is this what you think is right? Will you do ANYTHING to join Democrats in pushing back against this shameful behavior?
Doug Collins & Trump want you to believe that pushing out 30,000 VA employees is a win for veterans. DOGE cuts at VA were thoughtless, harmful, and the very definition of inefficient. They won't help. Secretary Collins, just admit your mistake and work with us to make VA work better for veterans.

Let’s clear something up: the giant cuts to Medicaid in Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill will affect EVERYONE, not just people on Medicaid. Hospitals and nursing homes will be forced to close—and it doesn't matter what kind of insurance you have if there is nowhere to go for care.
Trump's mass firing spree means there's not a single person left on the CDC team that makes sure birth control is safe for women. And they decimated the entire Reproductive Health division. Trump and his corrupt cronies are putting women at risk. It's outrageous and wrong.
