700,000 children, in just the 12 states that provided data, have lost access to nutrition assistance because Republicans think children are “waste, fraud and abuse.” They are letting children go hungry to give massive tax cuts to their billionaire donor class and corporations.
My constituents, like so many other Americans, are struggling with high costs and the Republican policies adding to their pain. From tariffs to the reckless Iran war, Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress are driving up the cost of living for Americans.
Today we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country. I joined veterans and community members to lay a wreath at Wood National Cemetery. We must honor their lives by living the ideals they fought to defend: freedom, democracy, equality, and opportunity for all.
House Republicans just ❌CANCELLED❌ the war powers resolution vote and headed on a taxpayer funded 10-day vacation while the war in Iran causes prices to skyrocket. From gas to groceries, your Memorial Day is much more expensive this year and the GOP won’t do a damn thing.
I will not sit by and let Republicans characterize programs for the poorest of the poor women and children as “waste, fraud and abuse” when the real waste, fraud and abuse is being perpetrated by Donald Trump giving $1.8 BILLION to January 6th insurrectionists.
It’s a privilege to fight for foster youth every day in Congress. I’m proud to advance bipartisan legislation to help youth aging out of the system secure housing and help them navigate the complexities of transitioning to adulthood.
One set of rules for the wealthy and well connected, another for everyone else. The most corrupt president in history just got an unfathomable sweetheart deal that ensures the IRS he controls can’t investigate his family and businesses past taxes.
