During a time when so many Americans are facing fear and uncertainty, this demonstration of peace has been powerful and inspiring.
This morning I welcomed the Buddhist monks to Capitol Hill as they completed their 15‑week walk for peace.
From Texas to DC, they have walked with a message of unity, compassion, & healing for our nation, which has transcended ideologies & brought Americans together in quiet gratitude & reflection.
No child should be separated from their family or spend their childhood behind bars.
Trump promised ICE was going after “the worst of the worst.” Instead, kids are suffering in detention. Until this inhumanity ends, I won’t vote to give DHS another dollar.
Ghislaine Maxwell stayed silent and pleaded the Fifth—hoping the President rewards her with clemency. The American people deserve transparency.
Release all the Epstein files now.
My Uniform Standards for Federal Law Enforcement Act would turn the DOJ’s existing deadly force policy into law and hold every federal officer accountable to the same standards. (2/2)
DHS agents have racially profiled people, raided schools and businesses, separated families, and taken lives. Congress can’t let this continue without real oversight and accountability.
Democrats have come to the table with reforms that protect both constitutional rights and public safety. (1/2)
Hundreds of thousands of Americans fought and died for these alliances—because America and the world’s security depends on them.
That legacy is on the line. (2/2)
Look at the damage the President is doing with our allies.
His attacks on NATO, coercive tariffs, and soft-on-Putin strategy are undermining decades of friendship rooted in shared values, democracy, and liberalism. (1/2)
I’m focused on bringing prices down so hardworking families can enjoy the game without breaking the bank.
Whether you’re tuning in for the game, the commercials, or the Bad Bunny halftime show, your Super Bowl spread is costing more this year because of Trump’s tariffs.
Chicken wings for 10 people now run about $39—nearly 25% more than last year.
Lunch, afternoon tea, and a stop at the market in Elmhurst!

Deeply saddened by the suicide bombing at an Islamabad mosque that killed at least 31 people and injured almost 200 more.
I am thinking of the Pakistani people and praying for a full recovery for those injured. Nobody should have to life in fear of practicing their faith.
I’m relieved an arrest has been made. Those who commit these hateful, targeted acts must be held fully accountable.
I’m appalled by the recent Islamophobic attacks against Muslim New Yorkers — including a 12-year-old girl —in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. No New Yorker should ever face violence or harassment because of who they are, what they look like, or how they worship.
Antisemitism, hate, and vandalism will not be tolerated in our community.
After hearing about antisemitic graffiti at the Kew Gardens Hills Post Office, my office & Sam Berger immediately reached out to postal officials. The graffiti has been removed, the blue shelf taken out of the lobby, and management was directed to conduct regular checks to prevent future incidents.
We cannot send the 350,000 Haitians living in our communities back to these conditions. As a member of the House Haiti Caucus, I am fighting for a permanent solution to keep them safe. (2/2)
I’m relieved the courts have paused the termination of Temporary Protected Status for Haiti.
The situation in Haiti is dire. Armed gangs are displacing people. Women and girls are experiencing horrific sexual violence. (1/2)
Mobile Office Hours: 2/6
My team & I are hosting mobile office hours with Assemblymember Steven Raga on Friday, February 6, 11:00am-2:00pm at Assemble Member Raga's office in Woodside. Stop by to ask questions & receive assistance with federal agencies like the VA, IRS, Social Security, & more.
