It’s always a pleasure connecting with our seniors, sharing updates from Congress, and hearing what’s on their minds. (2/2)
I stopped by more older adult centers in my district to talk with area seniors including at Queens Community House’s Older Adult Center in Forest Hills, Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York, Inc. (KCS)’s Senior Center in Flushing, and India Home’s program in Elmhurst. (1/2)
I helped introduce the Saving Lives and Taxpayer Dollars Act to fight this waste and stand up for women, girls, and families here and around the world who want to determine when and how they start a family.
Now, instead of saving lives by distributing the remaining supplies, it’s also wasting hundreds of thousands of your taxpayer dollars to store them.
This Administration can’t do a pool renovation right.
No wonder a new report requested by Congress confirms the Administration needlessly destroyed $8 million of lifesaving birth control supplies.
Honored to attend the appreciation luncheon for the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 32 in Middle Village.
I am grateful to join our local veterans at events throughout the year and I'm forever thankful for their service to our nation.
I’m proud to have secured over $1 million to expand awareness of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in New York City.
Help is always within reach—just call or text 988 for free, 24/7 support in your community.
If you or someone you know is in crisis, you’re not alone.
Queens, it’s Election Day! If you haven’t already voted in the primary election, polls are open until 9pm.

Visited Queensborough Community College in Bayside to check out the new childcare center being built on campus. Proud to have obtained over $3.1M to get this crucial project off the ground. It’ll ensure that students, faculty, staff & the community have access to high-quality childcare services.
New York, we have severe weather headed our way! New York City is under a flood watch through tomorrow evening. Be sure to stay up to date on the latest forecasts and travel alerts, and avoid any unnecessary travel.
VA Intake Day: 6/29
My team & I are hosting a VA intake day Monday, June 29, 10am-2pm, at the Polish Legion of American Veterans Kowalinski Post in Maspeth! Reps from the US Dept. of Vet Affairs will be available to assist with VA claims & answer questions about your benefits.

established precedent intended to protect our communities and families. The right to vote is sacred, and we have an obligation to ensure fair and equal representation for all people. In Congress, I will keep up the fight against the dismantling of our voting rights. (2/2)
I hosted a roundtable with local Black leaders in Lefrak City to discuss the Supreme Court’s gutting of the Voting Rights Act that weakens protections against racial discrimination in voting. I am deeply angered by this Supreme Court’s conservative majority overturning decades of... (1/2)
I had a wonderful time dropping by the Benjamin Rosenthal-Prince Street Older Center in Flushing and the Older Adult Center in Rego Park. It is always great visiting with our local seniors to hear their concerns and let them know how my office can assist them.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers, and father figures in Queens and beyond who show up for their families every day. Thank you for the love, guidance, and support you give. We’re so grateful for you!
Attended Queens Community Board 3's Health Care Expo this afternoon. Lots of free screenings and community resources.
I also thank Board 3 for having me at its board meeting earlier this year where I provided an update from Congress.
Thanks to the members of Community Board 11 for having me at their recent monthly meeting in Bayside. I appreciated discussing issues of concern and talking about my legislation and initiatives.
It’s almost a year since I helped secure a new accessibility ramp for the Jackson Heights Post Office and the community continues to benefit enormously from it.
Pleased to partner with Council Member Shekar Krishnan and Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez to make this improvement a reality.
The $1.6 million I obtained for this project will greatly benefit our vibrant Filipino American community in Queens. NaFFAA is the New York State Chapter of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations. (2/2)
I am thrilled that plans for NaFFAA NY’s community center continue to move forward. A needs assessment report is expected to be launched this summer and I’m excited about progress being made. (1/2)
