Proud to stand with Congresswoman Yvette Clarke in support of Haitian communities in Queens and across the country. We’ll keep fighting to protect them and deliver life-saving aid to Haiti.
The situation in Haiti is dire — one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. Families are being displaced, and women and girls are facing horrific sexual violence.
With TPS set to expire on Feb. 3, we cannot send our Haitian neighbors back to these conditions.
UPDATE: Due to inclement weather, my team at my Queens District Offices will be working remotely on Monday, January 26th. If you need assistance, please continue reaching out. We’ll remain available via phone and email.
Normal, in-person hours will resume Tuesday, January 27th.
Another deadly shooting by immigration agents. The President should remove federal agents who are operating outside the law from Minnesota and every state they are terrorizing. They are only making our communities less safe and less secure. This needs to end.
The President says he has “concepts of a deal” for Greenland.
We don’t need a deal for Greenland.
We need a better deal for the American people: lower costs and accessible, affordable health care.
That’s where my focus is.
Rolling back guidance meant to prevent harassment undermines that mission.
The EEOC must reverse this harmful decision and stand with the workers it’s meant to protect. (2/2)
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's (EEOC) mission is to protect vulnerable workers — including women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ employees — from workplace discrimination. (1/2)
Today would have marked 53 years since Roe v. Wade affirmed the constitutional right to abortion.
Instead, we’re still fighting for the rights generations before us already secured.
I won’t stop until every person has full control over their own body and future.
I'm voting NO when this legislation comes to the House floor.
For constituents in my community who have been violently detained, for Renee Good & other U.S. Citizens who have been wrongfully targeted by ICE agents, & for the law-abiding immigrants throughout the United States whose rights have been trampled on, I cannot in good conscience vote for this bill.
It’s clear that ICE must be held accountable. The DHS funding bill fails to meet this moment.
For decades, Radio Free Asia helped share information on divided Korean families & reunification efforts.
Until this Administration tried to end it.
Thanks to Congress, RFA will start broadcasting again into North Korea & bring hope to families who are still waiting for info on their loved ones.
Grateful to celebrate Dr. King’s enduring legacy at Senator Leroy Comrie's 11th annual MLK Day of Service. The moving performances and uplifting messages reminded us all of his timeless call to serve and uplift our communities.
Rain or shine, I'm proud to stand with the New York State Nurses Association as they fight for the contract they deserve✊
Trump has been back in office for just a year and New Yorkers are already paying the price.
Last year families across the state spent $2,024 more on average due to inflation.
He claims that "inflation is defeated" but life is only getting more expensive for families.
ICYMI: This isn't even a concept of a plan.
1.4 million fewer Americans will have health insurance this year Republicans let ACA tax credits expire on January 1.
If they really wanted to help Americans save money, they wouldn't have let their premiums skyrocket.
Today, we honor the life & legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. whose leadership, courage, & unwavering commitment to justice transformed our nation.
As he reminded us, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”
We must continue his fight for peace, justice, & equality.
That is why I introduced my Fairness for Victims of SNAP Skimming Act, which would require SNAP to fully replace a household’s stolen benefits so families can put food back on the table.
It's time for Speaker Johnson to bring it to the House floor for vote. (2/2)
There is nothing more despicable than stealing food from hungry families. Republicans allowed the federal program that reimbursed stolen SNAP benefits to expire, leaving victims with nowhere to turn. (1/2)
Rogue federal agencies must be held accountable, which is why I am working on legislation to ensure ICE agents are held to the same standards as every other law enforcement agency.
