Artemis II has safely splashed down in the pacific! I’m glad they’ve safely made it back earth side. Americans have been watching in awe of this brave and talented crew since take-off. I can’t wait to see how their research and discoveries shape the future of American space exploration.
It’s an honor to support missions like this and advance U.S. leadership in space. Thanks to this crew, the next generation of discovery is here. (2/2)
What an incredible experience speaking with the Artemis II crew before their splashdown today. As the top Democrat on the Appropriations Committee responsible for funding NASA, I’ve fought to ensure America continues investing in space research and exploration. (1/2)
Mail theft continues to be a serious problem in Queens. I secured the first federal investigation into mail theft in our community, and I’m still fighting to hold USPS accountable and prevent these crimes. I discussed this more with NY1’s Cheryl Wills.

AANHPI women deserve fair pay for their work, full stop. I’ll keep fighting until that happens. (2/2)
Today is AANHPI Women’s Equal Pay Day — the day in 2026 when Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander women finally catch up to what white men earned by the end of 2025. Right now, AANHPI women are paid just 83 cents for every dollar paid to white men. (1/2)
Her family shared memories of her beautiful life and kind heart, and I know she will be remembered by many in our community. (2/2)
Today, I visited the family of Nishath Jannath to extend my deepest condolences after her tragic and sudden passing in Queens. At just 19 years old, her life was cut far too short in a heartbreaking accident at 62nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue. (1/2)
Republicans should stand up for what’s right — not enable this reckless war. (2/2)
Democrats tried to bring another War Powers Resolution to the floor today, but Republicans blocked it.
While gas prices climb, our troops face danger abroad, and families feel the squeeze at home, Americans are left wondering what the President will do next. (1/2)

Meanwhile, we should make it easier to use SNAP benefits to buy hot and prepared foods, like rotisserie chickens. My bipartisan Hot Foods Act would do just that.
Over 100,000 New Yorkers have already lost food assistance benefits since the Big Ugly Bill was signed into law.
The most extreme cuts haven’t even hit yet.
We should repeal this policy that hurts working families.
450,000 New Yorkers are getting letters saying they’re losing health insurance — thanks to the GOP’s Big Ugly Bill.
Republicans promised to make life easier. Instead, they’re ripping away health care while gas and grocery prices keep climbing.
Families deserve a break, not more broken promises.

A wonderful afternoon stopping by Pomonok Senior Center! I always enjoy spending time with our seniors and answering their questions.
The GOP must call Congress back into session to rein in the President and hold him accountable. (2/2)
Calling for the erasure of a civilization is dangerous and unhinged coming from any leader, let alone an American President. It is not a tactic. It is not a joke.
America is not at war with the Iranian people. (1/2)
Thank you Cheryl Wills for spending the day with me in my congressional district and talking about issues impacting my constituents in Queens. It is always great to be on NY1's "In Focus" show.
