Yesterday I celebrated World Refugee Day at the Refugee Dream Center in Providence with some of our newest Rhode Islanders.
From our very beginning as a state and country we have been a refuge for those fleeing persecution. It is who we have always been and must continue to be.
We just filed a legal brief to stop Trump’s unlawful cuts to lifesaving NIH research.
These cuts would devastate cancer trials, Alzheimer’s research, and other critical work — including research happening at Brown and URI.
We’re fighting back.
