I was excited to visit the Air Mobility Command Museum in Dover—a testament to DE's role in aviation history. The collection includes aircraft from World War II to the modern era, including Air Force Two, which was used by several vice presidents. A must-see when visiting the heart of our state!
2/ The residents’ message to the folks in Washington was clear: seniors and older Delawareans deserve stability, security, and respect.
1/ Ensuring that seniors and older adults can age with dignity is paramount. That’s why I visited B’nai B’rith House in Claymont to share how I’m working to lower prescription drug costs and protect Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP from ongoing attacks by the administration.
2/ If only he mustered a fraction of this urgency in stopping the very insurrection in D.C. he incited—instead of pardoning the violent criminals involved.
1/ Donald Trump continues his pitiful—and dangerous—performance as an authoritarian wannabe. Crime in D.C. is at a 30-year low, but Trump is hellbent on abusing his power to politicize local law enforcement, undermining trust, progress, and public safety.
Delaware lost a beloved neighbor. John Brady wasn’t just a trailblazer—he was a leader whose life was anchored in service to others. His kindness, courage, & generosity won’t soon be forgotten, & his legacy will continue to inspire all who work to make our state a better place. Rest in peace, John.
What better way to celebrate our boss’ birthday today than with a Taylor Swift × “august” × Rep. McBride collab? Happy birthday to the fiercest defender of Delaware—and fearless Swiftie—Congresswoman McBride!
Love,
Team McBride 🖤🤍
2/ As Gabby says, stopping gun violence takes courage—and together, we can turn that courage into action that can save lives.
1/ I was honored to host Congresswoman Gabby Giffords in Wilmington to talk about how Delaware has made historic progress in combating gun violence—and how the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress are undermining our safety.
2/ This move isn’t about protecting veterans—it’s about undermining the rights of those who serve them.
1/ Trump’s assault on federal workers continues—this time stripping collective bargaining rights from VA employees, the very people who ensure our veterans and their families receive the care and support they deserve.
Happy birthday, @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social! Grateful to stand with you—and all @housedemocrats.bsky.social—in supporting working families, lowering costs, and defending our democracy.
I joined @scanlon.house.gov & @houlahan.house.gov at the Brandywine Museum of Art, just across the line in Pennsylvania, where we heard from museum leaders about how federal support made their recovery from Hurricane Ida possible—& the work now underway to fortify the museum against future flooding.
2/ While the Trump admin ignores that truth, I was proud to bring @scanlon.house.gov & @houlahan.house.gov to the Veolia PFAS Water Filtration Plant in Wilmington to spotlight the progress Delaware is making in removing PFAS—or “forever chemicals”—from our water systems & protecting public health.
1/ Access to clean water isn't a luxury—it's a fundamental right.
Call it the Trump Effect.
3/ Conversations like these are a powerful reminder of why it’s so important to keep expanding opportunities for small business owners and entrepreneurs across our state.
2/ We toured several small businesses—each one a vital part of not just the local community, but Delaware’s economy as a whole. We wrapped up the day at Focus Pharmacy, an independent pharmacy that's celebrating six years in business!
1/ It’s always great to be back in Smyrna and Clayton! Today, I met with Mayor Gott and other town officials—as well as Clayton Vice Mayor Paisley—to discuss how we can support and continue to strengthen these two towns that are rich in history and community.
2/ Instead of building on that legacy, Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans just pushed through their budget that includes the largest cut to Medicaid in American history—and paves the way for Medicare cuts down the line.
It’s a betrayal—plain and simple. And Delawareans deserve better.
