While Republicans claim to support working families, time and again, they side with corporations over the needs of everyday Americans.
I’m proud to have worked with Rep. Judy Chu and Senator Warren to call on CMS to crack down on Medicare Advantage plans using AI to deny care.
215 House Republicans voted to block all 50 states from protecting workers, tenants, and patients from the risks of AI for 10 years.
This includes state efforts to:
✅Block AI from denying insurance claims
✅Ban AI rent-hiking algorithms
✅Defend workers from AI-driven job loss
@housedemocrats.bsky.social are fighting back because no doctor should have to choose between saving a patient’s life and following the law.
Yesterday, the Trump administration revoked clear guidance that told hospitals they must provide abortion care in emergencies.
The law still requires lifesaving care, but this move creates confusion, pressures doctors to hesitate in critical moments, and puts patients at greater risk.
Every patient in America has the right to lifesaving health care.
And yet, Trump's HHS and CMS have now rescinded the Biden administration’s guidance from 2022, which reaffirmed protections for abortion care during medical emergencies.

Pete Hegseth should be ashamed.
Harvey Milk served this country with honor—first in the Navy, then as a trailblazing public servant.
Erasing his name from a Navy ship during Pride Month is a petty, disgraceful insult to his legacy and to LGBTQI+ Americans who continue to serve.
These aren't just numbers on a page—they're cancer patients, kids with asthma, seniors in nursing homes.
I'm fighting this dangerous bill with everything I’ve got, because Republicans ripping away health care from our family, friends, and neighbors is cruel, and it will cost lives.
The official position from the Trump Administration now seems to be that nearly 14 million people don't deserve to continue having health care coverage.
Today, @raskin.house.gov and I called on Judiciary Republicans to convene a Committee hearing after DHS agents forcibly entered my district office without a warrant or consent and handcuffed a member of my staff.
Happy #PrideMonth! 🏳️🌈
This month, we celebrate love, authenticity, and the courage of the LGBTQI+ community.
I’m proud to stand with the LGBTQI+ community, this month and every month, in the fight for full equality.
Trump’s reckless reconciliation bill includes the biggest SNAP cut in history—threatening to take food off the table for millions. Parents, kids, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities will pay the price.

Beyond the cruelty, these shameful tactics are designed to make immigrants afraid to engage with our legal system. Combined with efforts to gut asylum and end TPS protections, the Trump Administration is making it impossible to come “the right way.”
www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/u...
Republicans love to say immigrants should “come the right way.” But when immigrants follow the law and show up to court, they’re being ambushed by ICE and fast-tracked for deportation.
Today’s court decision striking down Trump’s unlawful tariffs is a win for the Constitution and the rule of law.
The Court made clear what Republicans refused to confront: Trump’s abuse of emergency powers to unilaterally impose sweeping tariffs violated the law and the separation of powers.
This ruling confirms what I’ve said from the start: there’s no legitimate legal basis for the Trump Administration to shut down congestion pricing.
Today, the court agreed, temporarily blocking the administration’s threats to cut off critical transportation funding and calling out its abuse of power for what it is.
This morning, I stood with fellow congestion pricing advocates to send a clear message to Donald Trump: New Yorkers won’t back down. We’re reducing traffic, cutting pollution, and investing in better transit.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
