Temporary win for Rep Joe Neguse (D-CO) and other Democrats in Congress trying to conduct oversight of ICE facilities
Despite the Trump administration’s unlawful attempts to block Members of Congress from conducting oversight, a federal court just affirmed in Neguse et al. v. ICE et al. — ONCE AGAIN — our clear right to conduct unannounced oversight visits.
We will keep fighting to ensure the rule of law prevails.
Secretary Noem will testify in front of the House Judiciary Committee next week.
I have many questions.
The best part of my job is meeting with folks across Northern Colorado!
Grateful to everyone who attended this weekend our Mobile Office Hours in Erie and our Congress on YOUR Corner in Boulder.

The Trump administration’s corruption knows no bounds.
Our constitution is clear: the decision to take our nation to war rests with Congress. Trump’s reckless & dangerous decision to initiate military action without congressional authorization is clearly unconstitutional.
Congress must reconvene —immediately — for a vote on the War Powers Resolution.

This Black History Month, honored to present our Gloria Tanner Community Service award, named after the 1st Black woman elected to the Colorado State Senate.
This year’s recipients were Bianka Emerson & Anna Jo Haynes, inspiring civic leaders who’ve made an incredible impact in our community!

It is a privilege to represent both of Colorado’s flagship universities — Colorado State University & @colorado.edu.

For years, I’ve led the charge to end for-profit, detention centers. Yesterday’s court ruling is a critical step forward in our fight to hold the “detention industrial complex” accountable!

President Trump’s speech last night was disgraceful — and a reminder that he’s not working to make life better for the American people.

Reminder — as the Trump White House hosts an event yesterday marking Black History month, they are literally rewriting American history at our National Parks across the country.
It is shameful.

Today, House Republicans are pushing legislation to repeal renewable energy subsidies.
Of course, these are the same programs that some of them touted a mere few years ago!

If it’s a Monday in Washington D.C., it can only mean one thing:
House Republicans are considering legislation on showerheads and dishwashers.
Again.
