So grateful to hear that everyone at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner tonight is safe, and thankful for the swift response by law enforcement.

Maine’s legal cannabis businesses should be treated like the legitimate small businesses they are, but it is still necessary to fully decriminalize marijuana and correct the historical injustices of failed drug policies.
Marijuana businesses in Maine have been forced to operate under unfair, outdated federal rules for far too long.
Reclassifying medical marijuana could finally open the door to basic tax fairness, safer banking options, and long-blocked research into cannabis’ medical uses.
The recent order from acting Attorney General Todd Blanche does not legalize or decriminalize the drug, but it would make it easier for the industry to operate.

It’s cruel, it’s unconstitutional, and it’s dangerous abuse of power.
I will continue to stand against any policy that erodes the rights of American citizens, regardless of where they were born.
This isn't about public safety or protecting the integrity of the system.
It's about fear.
It is about sending millions of naturalized Americans a chilling message that their citizenship is somehow less secure, less permanent, and less American than anyone else’s.
Trump’s DOJ is dramatically ramping up efforts to strip naturalized Americans of their citizenship.
Just as it has with its heinous immigration policies, the Admin is claiming they’re only going after the “worst of the worst.”
But we've heard that lie before, and we all know it's total bullshit.
There are priceless, historic American works of art in the Cohen Building that could be destroyed and lost forever.
Republicans love to posture as defenders of American history and heritage. But when it comes time to actually protect it, they’re standing by and letting Trump bulldoze it.
The East Wing.
The Kennedy Center.
A massive gilded arch.
Over and over, Trump is reshaping our nation’s capital in his own, tacky image—with no transparency, no consultation, and no respect for Congress’s role.
I’m so saddened to hear about the passing of my friend and colleague, David Scott.
David’s vision and leadership, especially when it came to empowering the next generation of Black farmers, will be deeply missed.
My heartfelt condolences to David’s loved ones. May his memory forever be a blessing.
The U.S. Court of Appeals has blocked Olivia’s deportation, and a decision on her immigration case could take months or years.
This young woman should not be sitting in detention while the agency stalls, stonewalls, and spins.
She should be released and reunited with her family in Maine.
Her attorneys have repeatedly sought clear answers about why she remains detained. ICE has yet to provide those answers.
That is unacceptable.
If the government is going to deprive someone of their liberty, it should at the very least be able to justify that decision—clearly and in writing.
🧵
So grateful to @msrachelforlittles.bsky.social, as well as local +national media, for sharing Olivia's story.
My concerns about her detention have only grown more urgent.
She is a 19-year-old student who has reportedly lost a dangerous amount of weight—and whose mental health has deteriorated.
I’m grateful to Massie and my other colleagues (from BOTH sides of the aisle) for joining me in this fight.
This goes beyond politics and party lines.
Congress should be protecting families, farmers, and children, NOT doing favors for Bayer and other chemical giants.
🚨NEWS🚨
Rep. Massie and I just introduced a bipartisan amendment to strip the pesticide liability shield from the Farm Bill.
If a company’s product makes people sick, it should be held accountable. If states and communities want to create stronger protections, they should have every right to do so.
Today, we have new images of Earth to marvel at—taken during the first lunar mission in a generation.
On the heels of that incredible human feat, Earth Day feels especially meaningful.
We only have one home. It's a special one. Let’s take care of it—now, tomorrow, and for every generation to come.
Captured in 1968 by Apollo 8, "Earthrise" may be the most powerful photo ever taken.
Less than 2 years later, the first official Earth Day was celebrated.
It wasn't a coincidence.
Once we saw our planet for what it was—small, fragile, a beacon of light and life—it changed our perspective forever.
This is unacceptable. The mismanagement at the postal service has been clear for YEARS. And it’s impacting many of the communities I represent.
I’ll be working on getting to the bottom of this, but I had to use yesterday’s opportunity in our appropriations markup to bring this issue to light.
WHAT THE HELL is going on at the USPS?
Yesterday, I received an alarming message about a company that delivers mail for USPS to several island communities in Maine.
Apparently, USPS has been stiffing this company for years—to the tune of $388K—and hasn’t paid for a SINGLE delivery in 2026.
This is totally unacceptable.

I introduced an amendment to direct Army + Arlington officials to conduct an impact study and require vet organizations be consulted.
Regardless of what you think of the arch, we should all want to protect the sanctity of Arlington—and respect veterans' input.
Republicans voted it down.
Shameful.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
