Thanks to the Biden Administration, Wisconsinites can access Direct File, allowing us to file our taxes for free.
I have been pushing for Direct File to come to Wisconsin for years and am thrilled to see that it will save money for Wisconsinites!
Our country is a better place because of the incredible contributions of Black Americans. Happy Black History Month!
As Chair of the HIV/AIDS Caucus, let me be clear: erasing HIV/AIDS content from government websites helps literally no one. It endangers public health and abandons those who rely on these critical resources. Reckless and stupid.
Thanks to my colleagues for joining me & my Defense Spending Reduction Caucus Co-Chair, @repilhan.bsky.social in this effort.
If the DOGE commission is serious about cutting wasteful government spending, the Pentagon should be their primary focus.
They are the only federal agency that has never passed an audit, yet continue to receive HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars every single year.
Great to check out the construction progress of the Sun Prairie Library expansion. When local communities have the resources they need, everyone wins!
Sunshine Place is doing great work in Sun Prairie, providing critical social services for people in need. It was a pleasure to meet with the team to discuss how we can continue to support and help them grow!
85 years ago, Ida Fuller received the first ever #SocialSecurity check. Just like Ida, you deserve your full Social Security benefits because it’s your damn money. I'm a proud co-sponsor of the Social Security 2100 Act, which would extend & improve this program for years to come.
Despite what the Trump Administration is claiming, Head Start centers have informed us that their funding is STILL PAUSED.
We sent this letter to the Trump Administration today to demand they restore funding for Head Start immediately.
If you weren't able to make it to my town hall last night, you can watch it all here. Credit to @channel3000.bsky.social.

This is an attack on public education. Trump is funneling taxpayer dollars from public schools to private schools, many of which have lower standards & worse student outcomes. This will hurt students & further overburden public school teachers.
10 days into the new Trump Administration and all we’ve got is confusion and chaos. Nothing yet on lowering costs…
It’s always great to get out of D.C. and spend time with folks in the district to chat about what's on their mind!
My heart aches for victims of last night’s tragedy. Their families and loved ones are in my thoughts.
Great to tour the William S.
Middleton Memorial Veterans' Hospital!
I will always fight like hell to ensure that our veterans have access to the best healthcare possible, and against any efforts to privatize the VA or cut hard-earned benefits.
Trump's chaos and confusion shortchanged Wisconsinites by $100m in needed funds today alone. This isn't amateur hour. People's livelihoods are at stake. Trump MUST get these funds out the door immediately.
Trump tried to cut healthcare for 70 million Americans, strip funding from law enforcement and more. Now they're reversing course. This is what happens when we make our voices heard!
My town hall is TODAY. See you soon!

@dol.gov reports that 14.3 million workers were union members in 2024. That’s over 14 million workers who are organizing and fighting back like never before. Let’s break it down: 🧵(1/6) www.bls.gov/news.release...
I stand with @govevers.wisconsin.gov and Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul who are joining a coalition of states to sue the Trump Administration for illegally withholding federal funding (a.k.a. your tax dollars) to communities across America. This is the action we need!
