Terminating TPS for Haiti would be devastating to the 350,000+ Haitian nationals in the US—many of whom reside in the #MA7. That’s why I’ve filed a discharge petition to force a vote on extending TPS for Haitians. Our colleagues must sign on & join us in defending our Haitian communities.
In the same way that masked cowardly militia played the role of judge, jury, & executioner, terrorizing Black communities — that terror is now coming everywhere in the form of ICE. This rogue agency must be abolished & we must end qualified immunity to hold agents accountable.
That’s right. It’s inhumane & unlawful to deport people to a country in political, economic, & humanitarian crises. This is a vital step towards defending Haitian families & we’ll keep fighting for lasting protections. To our Haitian neighbors—your contributions are valued & you have a home here.
A Boston Globe article titled: Federal judge blocks Trump administration from ending temporary legal status for Haitians.
Extending TPS for Haiti isn't just the moral, humanitarian thing to do—it is also good policy. With TPS expiring tomorrow, I'm fighting hard to protect our Haitian siblings and ensure they can continue their essential work and contributions to our communities.

The people closest to the pain should be closest to the power, driving & informing our policymaking. But for too long, big money has polluted our politics. Proud to receive an A+ on Stop Big Money’s Anti-Corruption scorecard because I haven’t lost the plot—& the plot is the people.
Deeply relieved Liam and his dad are back home in Minnesota. This kidnapping by ICE was egregious and should never have happened. Thank you @joaquincastrotx.bsky.social and @repilhan.bsky.social for your leadership.

Trump's gutting of agencies doesn't just harm dedicated federal workers like my constituent Claire, who enforced fair housing laws at HUD. It harms the communities and the people they deserve, and it prevents agencies from fulfilling their mission.
Trump's DOJ is lying & violating the law. They claim they released the Epstein files, but there are 3 millions pages missing. They don't care about accountability or survivors—only about protecting pedophiles like Donald Trump. Release ALL the files.
My heart aches for Minnesota & communities across the country reeling from horrific ICE attacks. Their pain is raw, and it is real. But their resolve is even stronger. Neighbors organizing their blocks, protecting families at school drop off, leading mutual aid drives.

Such a joy to be back with @repilhan.bsky.social in the #MN05 to meet with organizers & community members impacted by ICE's horrific violence. We’ve heard from folks about the trauma & fear they're experiencing. And yet, Minnesotans are holding the line & showing up for one another.

My heart is heavy after visiting Alex Pretti’s memorial site in Minneapolis. He was a beloved son and community member who spent his days caring for our veterans. We'll never have true justice for Alex—justice would be him alive today. But there must be accountability.
Communities in Minnesota are living in fear due to the violence and brutality perpetrated by ICE. I'm in Minneapolis with @repilhan.bsky.social to meet with families, organizers and community organizations impacted by Trump's cruel mass deportation agenda. Follow along.
On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we grieve the murder of millions of Jews & marginalized people. May their memory be a blessing and a reminder that hatred has no place in our world. Today, we reaffirm our shared humanity and fight to root out antisemitism & bigotry.
There's no ICE accountability without ending qualified immunity. They're murdering people. There won't be justice for the lives they've stolen, but there must be accountability. My bill with @markey.senate.gov would ensure families can sue the agents murdering their loved ones.
The agents that murdered Alex cannot walk away freely. They must be held accountable for their crimes. That means passing my bill to end qualified immunity for federal law enforcement, including ICE agents. It means impeaching Kristi Noem.
